CHAPTER 12:Nobody else's

TOBY POV:

To be honest I just wanted to forget about the whole fiasco that happened at the party on Saturday, especially since I was about to ripped apart by two people who used me like I was tug of war. But the bright side is I've made a new friend in the mist of it all. Micheal and I have been texting every since the party on Saturday, and learned a lot of things about him such as his a college freshman at the towns college, and got a full blown scholarship from doing football. Those are something's I learned on him. But anyways let me get up and get ready for school.

Time Skip ⏯️

I made it to school with 10 minutes to spare before the first bell ring for first period. I quickly stumbled into the school, and headed straight to my lockers. At my locker stood, Alex, Lincoln, Cameron, and Xavier. They noticed me approaching them and smiled. Alex, and Link immediately ran up to me and hugged me "Hey best friend" they said in unison, I hugged them back, "Hey" I said with a chuckle at my best friend's excitement to see me. After that I felt a hand reach in my hair, and ruffled it, right off the back I knew it was Cameron. "Heyo tobes" I playfully swatted Cameron's hand's away from my hair and pouted a little. "Aww you're so cute when you pout" after saying that me and Cameron looked at each other and straight up laughed.

"Hi Sunshine". I smiled at Xavier " Hey Xavey". After I greeted him Xavier looked at me like he was confused 😕, " uhh aint you forgetting something" Now I was looking at him confused, I looked at him some more, and shrugged, until I said , "Nope, I would know if im forgetting anything". He then backed up a bit, and stretched his arms out wide. "Oh" I giggled a little and went straight to him, and hugged him. As we hugged he lifted me up a little off the ground, and I was smothered in his warm embrace, I wrapped my arms around his neck to get closer to him. A couple seconds later we broke away from each other, and I smiled at him. He returned my smile with a grin, and grabbed my bag from off my shoulders, and threw it over his back for him to carry. I use to always fuss, about him doing that, but by now I've already gotten use to it, and just kind of given up on the pleads for him to stop. Besides I find it sweet of him to do so.

My daydreaming had came to an end when Xavey said " Hurry up sunshine we got class*. I quickly came back to my senses and speed up to where he was waiting for me. And we made our way to class we have today which is music. We got into music and as per usual me and Xavier took a seat next to each other, Xavier pulled my desk more close to him. I noticed that our teacher Mrs. Baxter has not showed up yet so I decided to look check my phone, as I checked my phone I swing my legs onto Xavey's lap, and leaned my head on his shoulder. I glance back at my phone was I heard my phone ping, and it was a text from Michael.

MICHAEL ❤️💕

Him :Hey what you doing cutie?

Me: I'm in class right now actually, wbu?

Him: just relaxing 😌 at home, since class was cancelled today.

Me: oh cool, now you have time to relax and chill.

Him: yeah, but I rather to spend the day with you 😘

I read the messages and broke into a huge smile 😁, with a blush. Ahh he's so sweet. But as a looked to my side I saw Xavier looking upset. "What happened Xavey" I asked. " Who you texting that got you smiling like that".I noticed he was visibly getting more upset with me. "No one" I said that only because I knew if I told him it was Micheal, he would not like it, especially since how they acted towards each other at the party. As I layed my head back on my shoulder, I felt a strong grip on my arm, and the next thing I knew my phone was being snatched away from me, by Xavier. "Xavier stop give me my phone back" I began whining. He looked at my phone, and was going through the messages between me and Michael. "No why is you texting his ass". "He's my friend". I knew he was going to act like this, that's why I didn't want him to find out. I fussed some more but still he was not giving my phone back. I began to start pouting  because he wouldn't give me my phone, I took my legs off his lap and pushed my seat and desk far from him. By now he knew I was mad, and when I'm mad I'll literally ignore you, and give you the silent treatment.

He noticed that I was mad, turned to look at me. I could see him looking at me from the side of my eye, but I didn't budge I kept staring forward. " Come here bring your ass back over here". Ignored him and talked to one of our classmates Dylan. I kept ignoring him until he got up pulled me and my desk right where I was last time, and grabbed my legs and put them rt back on his lap. I continued to look ahead, not even batting a eye at him. "Look at me" I shook my head, which was a hell no, I kept shaking it until he grabbed my chin and face me towards him. "I'm sorry here, look " I looked down and he was handing me back my phone. " I was just worried cuz you hardly know the fucking guy, and y'all now buddy up, like that shit don't make sense, I'm just trying to protect you, you know that right". I didn't answer until he spoke up again "Right". At this point I wasn't mad anymore I eased my shoulders and released my face from it's angered expression.

I knew now that Xavey was just looking out for me and trying to protect me as a best friend. "Right I know, ur always there protect me, thank you" I stood up and hugged him, he opened his legs so he could sink more into the hug, I put my hands around his neck, as we hugged, I broke away as I was massaging the back of his neck. " But he's actually a good person, and hasn't done anything bad towards me, he's just a friend" I smiled down at him. "Ok cuz if he ever touches you, or do you wrong, it's clip for him, you feel me". I rolled my eyes and laughed "stop he's not I promise, and if he ever does I'll let you know". After we made up Mrs. Baxter walked and Xavier removed his hands he had around my waist as we broke the hug.

After about 1hr or so class ended me Xavier mad our way through the halls, onwards to our friends standing by Cameron's locker this time. "Hey bestie's". I ran up and hugged Link and Alex, in which we met half way and engulfed ourselves in the hug. Even though we saw each other before class lol 😂 . " Hey Camey, Hey Mase. They both greeted me alongside greeting Xavier with a wassup and hugs. We all was talking and all of sudden I felt hands drap around me, holding on to my waist, I knew it was Xavier so I put my hands over his, and leaned into his warmth, as his face sat at the crook of my neck. The guy's started looking at us weird, but I'm already familiar with the look, because they do this every time me and Xavier does this alongside everyone else even though, they know we're just best friends, but I pay them no mind.
