CHAPTER 14: Prepared Consequences

TOBY POV:
When I woke up I was in one of Xavier's shirt, and I was still in Xavier's , moments from last night began to flood through my brain, I began to believe it was a fever dream or something, it's no way I sleep with my best friend. It wasn't to I tried to get up I realize it was no dream, my back and butt was hurting, and when I try to stand up and walk to the bathroom, I had immediately fallen to the floor, which made a loud thud from the impact of me falling. Now that I'm fully awake now, I realized Xavier was missing in action, but Meir seconds later Xavier bust through the room coming to check up on me from the fall.

" I heard a loud noise, sunshine, and I came up right away to see what the fuck happened " I looked at him knowingly and he just mentally oh in his head " iii... woke up and tried to go to the bathroom but my legs caved in when I stood up off the bed and I fell" I said it with a slight pout on my face, because my butt, and back hurt even more from the fall. But while I was dwindling in that I was also thinking about the fact that me Toby Lim had sleep with best friend of 5 years  Xavier Williamson. God I'm so fucking stupid ahhh. I was drawn back to reality when Xavi started speaking again, "Hey, hey sunshine you Ight" I looked up at him and nodded slowly, and look back down to the ground shyly, he then reached down and picked me up, I reached over to place my hands around his neck, while my legs Immediately wrapped around his waist. "My bad sunshine, that's on me I was to rough on u last night".

I didn't respond, and then I suddenly realized my reason to getting out the bed, which was to go to the bathroom, I removed my head from his chest, and said "Bathroom iii.... have to go to the bathroom Xavi " he looked down at me, smiled and walked towards the bathroom while holding me , then he gently placed me onto the bathroom sink counter and kissed my forehead, then he picked me up a little so I could touch the ground. "Imma wait for u in there, when u come back we gotta talk" I slowly nodded my head, and let out an "ok" which was barely audible, and sounded more like a whisper. "I can't hear you sunshine, speak up for me love" I slightly blushed at the end part, but quickly hid it with turning my face to the side before looking back and letting out an "Ok Xavi, I'll be out in a minute " I closed the bathroom door, and I was in slight panic, I began to bite on my fingernails and pace back and forth for a couple of seconds, I then decided to use the bathroom, like I said I was doing. When I was done I washed my hand, and looked up towards the mirror, I began to psych myself up " Come on Tobes you can do this ", I slapped my checks a couple of times right before grabbing the doorknob and walking back into Xavier's room.

When I got back in the room Xavier was playing on the game, and hadn't noticed I walked it, until he heard the click of the bathroom door fully closing. I turned my attention fully to him as he placed the game controller on the counter under the tv. He then spoke "Hey". "Hey" we both were staring at each other for a while until Xavier had said " come on let's go somewhere, let's go for a drive to our spot" I stopped for a moment to think about it. "Uhhh... as in right now". "Ye why not let's live in the moment, clear our head". I mean I Suppose we do need to clear the air, with all this tension, I just nodded my head to his proposition. "Words bab.... 😬 uhhh, I mean Sunshine ". Ok Xavey let's go, my smiles then meet his even wider one.

We were now on the road drifting through the city streets in Xavier's car. As time gone by we were long passed the busy city street's, and was now masked in the greenery of nature, which came along with woodsy smell, which I loved since we were kid's. I rolled down the window even more to get a Whiff of the fresh air. As my hair swayed in the breeze, I looked back to see Xavier smiling at me, I smiled back, with my dimples out on full display. I was living for the moment, I lived for chances were we'd come up here, to escape our life for second, even hour's. Our perfect little safe haven, that we've treasured throughout the years. I was brought back to my senses when Xavier car was put at halt. We finally had made it to our humble abode in the forest surrounded by tree's, but here lied in the middle of all the trees was a lake, we've always found it strange for a lake to be placed there but over time, we just learned to appreciate the uniqueness of it. Xavier put the car in park and took his keys out the icnition, and stepped out the car, I on the under hand was unfasining my seat belt, and just before I was going to reach for the door, Xavier rushed over to my side to open the door for me. He then held his hand out for me to grab. I stared at his hand for sec only to bring my gaze back up to meet his eyes. I nervously reached out my hand to take his, I watched as his big strong hand, engulfed my hand in his touch, as he helped me out the car. You know it's funny I've never noticed how we'll my hand fit with his. I shook my head, to shake away those thoughts. After he helped me out I quickly took my hands away from his, hoping it to release me from these thoughts, and this weird feeling that's taken over me recently.

I decide to walk way ahead of Xavier down the trail towards the lake, I then begin to sit down on the rock in we're me and Xavier had carved our name in when we was younger, I was now letting my feet dangling in the water, as I waited for Xavier to make his way to me. Xavier then crouched down to sit beside me on the rock. We sat in silence for a while, as we stared into the night sky admiring the view. I felt slight movement on Xavier end, and noticed that his then hand which was placed on his knees, were now on top of my hand. I instantly looked up at him, their was nothing but the sound of the wind blowing in the trees, as we stared at each other, my mid length hair was blowing in the wind, and now had made it's way to my face. Xavier noticed and reached out, and pushed back the strand of hair that was blocking my face to behind my ear. As he did that I noticed a light flare or gleam in Xavier eyes when he did that. Like he was looking or found something special. A look of dominance, one that said I was in line of his possession, I was his. For a second I wanted to look a way but I just couldn't. It was like it had some type of pull on me ,as it gaze upon me in the moonlight. I couldn't help it and sooner or later we found our self even closer then we last was. I was Meir inches away from his lips, about to capture those beautiful lips of his when I realized what we were doing, what we were getting ourselves into and broke away. "Xavier stop you said we were going to talk, and clear our head on the deed we did last night ". He was about to say something, but instead he shut his mouth and turned his attention back to the sky. "You know I've always felt some type of feeling around you, and it's never been the same I've reciprocate from other's ". He finished his sentence fully looking at me now. All I could do is just look at him in awe, on the unexpected truth. I didn't utter a word, and just let Xavier continue. "Every time I'm with you it's a feeling, a vibe I wanna hold on to, you give me a sense of peace in my life, and I'm ngl I've tried to suppress this unnatural feeling I should feel for you, but I can't really deny it now, can I huh" he finished his sentence off with a dry chuckle. It was then i knew how much he was feeling me. " I... also can't deny that feeling I get when your around, or when you call me, or even when I'm in your arms. It's that type off feel that give's you a tingling sensation, but in a good way, like I'm safe, and I really like it. But I can't stand for the idea where this leaves our friendship, I mean your my best friend ".  After I said that Xavi grabbed my hand and intertwined our finger's, and placed a gentle kiss on my hand. "Look I don't know what is going to happen to us or what this means for future between us but what I know is whatever this is hopefully we can continue it and go with the flow".
