When we got to school it was pretty boring. Since I had a period one with Ross he kept on looking at me weird. I suppose he had the right to. Normally I'm all happy and bubbly but now i am all sad and depressed. It probably doesn't help that when I walked into class and put my books down next to Freddie and smiled. He looked up, frowned and picked up his books and moved. Ross seemed to catch on and n the way to period two he grabbed my arm and made me walk with him. "Is it Freddie's fault that you're all moody." he asked while stopping me in the hallway and keeping eye contact. Everyone stopped and stared, including Lochlan. I made eye contact with him……..

Then broke it and looked back at Ross, "No," I said then walked off. Lochlan followed me, so I suddenly stopped and he crashed into me."Sorry," was all he said while picking up our books. "We need to talk, meet me behind the library at recess. Thanks for the help," was all I said before walking away.

At recess I was on my way to the library and I heard someone yelling, it was Brittany, but I couldn't see who she was yelling at so I kept on walking. When I got to the back of the library, Lochlan was pacing, he looked really nervous.

"Man, relax." was all I said before he stopped and faced me. "How can you be so calm? Especially in front of all those people?" he was really freaking out. "I'm calm because I know that nothing will happen between us and we can just go on living our lives like normal. Well not normal, but as normal as possible. I know that things are gonna change, and there is nothing we can do about that, but that doesn't mean that I'm happy about it. Anyway since I'm moving in tomorrow and I only have clothes and a few bits and pieces that I need to bring for now, how about we have lunch tomorrow and get to know each other more, as in friends?" I asked while staying calm. "Yeah, um sure." he gave me a nervous smile, as he is so cute. Shit. I shouldn't be thinking that.

"So, I'll drop off my stuff at eleven thirty and then we'll go get something to eat. That cool with you?" "Yeah. If that's all I'm a gonna go now." he said before taking off. Damn. I wish he didn't have a girlfriend, and that everything wasn't complicated, life could be so easy. I when back to our local hang out near the basketball courts. Since we are in year 11 we have a separate part from the year 7's to 10's, this way there is less interruptions and we can study more, since this is like the final years for school. Woo, 2 more years and we are outta here for good, well 'till our reunion.

"Oi, Ann, we missed you and Emma at practice last night, what happened?" Amelia, a girl that is on our skating team asked. On Thursday nights Emma and I do ice and figure skating with our team and we also have extra practices when it comes to comps. "Girl stuff, but we will def be there next Thursday night, sorry we didn't give you any notice." "'S ok" and she walked off. Wow that was brief.

I snuck up behind Emma and scared her. "Shit! Why did you do that for?" she asked before she punched me. "I thought it would be fun," ouch, that hurt. "We forgot about skating last night duphus." “Woops, there is always next week." The rest of the day went pretty fast. Freddie still wouldn't talk to me and Ross was getting suspicious, again.

When we were walking home, we made sure that it was just us so we could start to talk normal. It was nice. We just spoke like we always used to. As soon as we got to Emma’s we chucked all our stuff in the car and said bye to her mum. “Darl, are you ok? The boys said that you came running in last night crying,” “Yeah, I’ll be fine, you might be seeing more of me though soon,” Emma elbowed me. “You can tell my mum,” “I know. But the guys are here. Would you like to come with us? We will go and grab a coffee and then bring you back. My shout. That way I can explain everything,” she just gave me a sad smile, “Seriously, come on, we’re going,” was all I said as Emma and I dragged her out of the house.
