Chapter 9, Part 1

A/N: I’m sorry that it took me so long to update even though I said I would update more. Since it took so long, I know you’re probably like, yeah awesomely long chapter. Sorry, but I have to burst your bubble, really short and a filler, but I promise, swear on my life that I will update within the next 72 hours, so at the latest 10pm Friday night, the 29th of April, Australian Eastern Standard Time.

“Alright, well, you guys can go (go is my 15,000th word!) off and do what you want. If you need us we will be in the lounge room having a chat.” Julie said while standing up. Everyone filed out claiming that they had something to do and it was just Maria and I.

“So” she smiled. “So, what do you wanna do?” I shrugged my shoulders, she looked at the clock. “Well, we can do several things, my suggestion is that we go round to the supermarket, get some junk and have a girls night in.” I smiled back, “Sounds great,” she went and asked everyone if they needed anything, no one did, it was just us. “Alright, I’ll grab my keys and my handbag and we can go,” she said. “Ok, I can drive if you want,” “Um, I'm still on my P’s, I can’t take learner drivers,” “No, I have a full licence.” She looked at me like I had grown a second head. “How?”

“Because of my mum I can have a full drivers licence, it simply says that I’m 18, and when the police do there thing with it, it comes up saying that I have this special thingo and it tells the police to let me go. I got it instead of my L’s when I turned 16. Occasionally there will be a copper that will ignore the warning about letting me go and he ends up going on suspension until they understand. That’s normally when you here about politician’s children being arrested, they never get charged because some other police officer will normally step in.” “Ok then, we’ll take your car then...” People look at me weird when I rock up in my Monaro. And they look at me even weirder when I'm on my bike... might have to do with the whole licence thing. You have to be 18 to buy alcohol, but because my license says that I'm 18 and you can’t make real good copies of fake ids, they take it is the real deal.

“Shit, can you go any slower?” Maria asked sarcastically, “If you want me to,” I smirked back; we both laughed and jumped out of the car. “So, whata ya want?” I asked, “Um, can we get some ice-cream? And some lollies? And some chocolate?” “And the whole supermarket?” I asked turning towards her. She blushed, “I like sugar...” I shook my head, “I love sugar, but I have had that much junk this past week that tomorrow training is gonna be hell.”

“Training?” “Yeah, I do figure skating. There are 6 girls and we all train together, I normally compete by myself or with my best friend, Emma.” “Cool.” We made small talk and when we got to the register, one of the guys from school was working it, it was Toby, aka, Emma’ epically massive crush. I smiled; Maria just looked at me weird. Meh, I'm used to it now.

“Hey Maria, Anna?” he asked, “Actually, it’s Annie, but you were close.” “Sorry.” “It’s alright,” “So how do you two know each other?” he asked Maria and I. BRAIN FOG! We can’t say the real reason, shit. Shit. Shit! “Ah, figure skating,” Maria said calmly. “Figure skating?” he looked severely confused, “Yeah, I was at a comp and she was watching and one of her friends is friends with one of mine, so we were at this figure skating party and we met there, we then realised that we lived really close to each other and we became friends. You know Emma?” She said while putting the rest of the food on the conveyer belt thingy mabobity. “Yeah, she’s really different. Wait, that came out wrong, I mean in a good way. But that’s cool how you guys met, that’ll be a total of ah $38.25, cash or card?” “Wow, I didn’t realise how much we spent,” Maria said looking down, “Card,” I said while pulling out one of my credit cards. “Huh, you’re in year 11 and you have a credit card?” he asked, “Yeah, I have a limit of like 50 bucks a month, its on my mums account,” I said while handing it over, “Oh, that makes sense,” he said while swiping it. I nodded. More like 50 thousand dollars a month, I don’t actually know if it even has a limit, I don’t think it would. Maybe like, 20,000 in one transaction, I think I might look into that... “Cool, well, I guess I’ll see you around,” “Yeah, see ya.” I said while grabbing the last bag.
