In the future

"Oh my gosh andrew shes adorable"
Dianne gushed with a huge smile as her brother placed her 6 month old niece in her arms for the very first time. With her and joe not being able to get over to australia, they had only looked at zofia through facetime and babble away at her as she would stare confused through the screen probably wondering who these two people were and why they were on a phone.

"Shes so excited to meet you both. We were showing her your videos on the tv this morning"
Mel, Andrew's fiance told the redhead

"You finally get to meet me, your auntie dot. Yes, I know my red hair is very bright isn't it"
Dianne cooed as the little girl grabbed her hair pulling at it lightly.

"Shes loves you already dianne"
Andrew giggled

"I know. We are going to have so many amazing adventures whilst I'm here aren't we and were going to be best friends by the time I have to go"
Dianne said

"Shes probably so confused. Shes seen you on facetime so definitely recognises you but doesn't know ehsts going on"
Mel said

"I know little one it's very confusing. Maybe we should meet joe now, shall we?"
Dianne began walking into her parents house holding onto zofia tightly not wanting to drop her.

"Uncle joe"
Andrew corrected his sister which lit her heart up inside. She loved how much her family adored him and accepted him as not just her boyfriend but a member of the family.
She wondered into the family room seeing joe sat there with her mum nattering away.

"Jospeh, do you want to hold little zofia?"
She said already handing her to him

"Hello little one"
Joe smiled as he held her, using the same nickname him and disnne always used for eachother.

"Shes cute isn't she"
Dianne sandown next to her boyfriend, andrew and mel sitting on the other side of the room together.

"Very cute"

"Joe's only very recently learned how to hold a baby"
Dianne giggled

"Oh yes of course with zoes little girl. How is she?"
Rina asked joining the conversation between her two children and their partner.

"Shes doing really well. Shes less than a few weeks apart with zofia"
Joe told her

"Zofia and ottilie are going to be like little pen pals as they grow up. They can be best friends. I think they all might be coming out here with us next time"
Dianne said

"It would be lovely to see zoe again and meet alfie and ottilie"
Rina added

"Shes pretty chilled out with you joe"
Mel laughed looking st her daughter who had rested her head on Joe's arm.

"All babies just seem to love you joe"
Dianne smiled looking st both of them. She always loved seeing him with children, it was like watching a glimpse into their future together. They knew having children wasn't a million miles away from them, it was something they had talked about and decided it was something they definitely wanted sooner rather than later.

"I'm just a natural dot"
Everybody laughed together, the family finally feeling complete now that everyone had met everyone and they were all back together.

"Hes so good with them you know. They absolutely love him"
Annie, Brendan wife turned to dianne as they sat on the beach a few hours later watching over joe, Brendan and Andrew play with the children in the water.

"Mhhh?"
Dianne turned to her

"I said Joe's really good with them. Look how happy they are with him. Hes such a natural. I know they met him a few years back but hes properly come out of his shell now. Hes like a real part of this family"
She told her sister in law
