"I think this is going to be my last year on the show"
Dianne sat at the dressing table in her and Joe's bedroom taking off her makeup in the mirror, joe sat behind her on the bed waiting for her to finish up so they could go to sleep together. It was just after a live show on a Saturday and they and come home together.

"What?....."
Joe raised his head looking at his girlfriend in the mirror.

"I'm thinking about leaving"
Dianne repeated herself

"Why?"
Joe asked softly shocked by this unexpected declaration.

"I'm too old for this..."
She began

"You're not, theres loads of pros older than you there."
Joe told her

"But I'm old....I'm going to be 34 next year"
She continued

"Thats nothing. You're still physically fit enough to carry on dancer for many more years"
Joe said

"I want to stop before I'm 35 though."
She told him

"And then do what? What would you do without strictly?"
He asked

"Other things. New adventures."
She said

"Like what?"
He said before dianne sighed heavily.

"It doesnt matter."
She said throwing the makeup wipe she had been using into the bin next to her before standing up and walking over to joe, climbing into bed next to him.

"No, I want to know. Just tell me, because I didn't expect you to come out with I want to stop dancing by the time I'm 35, just two years before you turn it"
He told her

"It doesnt matter. You're not on the same page because you've not guessed it"
She said

"Please tell me, I want to know, maybe I am on the same page and I'm just stupid because I cant figure out what you're trying to say"

"Well...."

"When you turn 35, as a woman its naturally less likely for you to produce children. Its just a thing, it's harder to get pregnant. If I carry on dancing the less of a chance I'll have because the older I'll be"
She admitted, joe putting all the pieces together finally.

"Oh.....you want a baby?"
He asked. Dianne simply nodded.

"Dont you think now is the perfect time? No more strictly, no more tours, no more busy work schedules. We can just focus on starting our own family. It can be our new adventure."
She explained

"Well its not really up to me, is it?"

"It is. You'd be the dad, you've got to take part in this"
Dianne told him
