IMPORTANT AUTHORS NOTE!

Ok ok so this authors note is important because I plan on changing the name and cover of the fanfic and i just wanted to give you guys a heads up so there would be no confusion! I'm just not very satisfied with the title or cover so there will most likely be a change That's all.
Thank you for reading this authors note if you did. I know I leave authors notes on chapters a lot that are mostly pointless. It's just because I like talking with you guys idk. Oops I got carried away ANYWAYS.

ALSO I MAY OR MAY NOT GO BACK TO USING "Y/n" and "you" etc. instead of  "I" JUST LEMME KNOW WHAT YOU PREFER. AND SORRY FOR THE AMOUNT OF SWITCH UPS.

ALSO I LITERALLY LOVE THIS CHAPTER SO MUCH I JUST TOOK SO LONG TRYING TO THINK OF HOW TO WRITE THIS CHAPTER, THEN SUDDENLY IN THE MIDDLE OF THE NIGHT I HAVE THE URGE TO WRITE SO YEAH. AND I WAS THINKING ABOUT TURNING THIS CHAPTER INTO 2 SEPARATE ONES AT FIRST BUT LIKE NOBODY LIKES SHORT CHAPTERS.

The clouds moved slowly, so did the cool spring breeze. I was gazing at the clouds, as they slowly moved by and revealed the sun along with the lively colors in the sky. Kazuha lied on the floor beside me, also gazing into the sky even though he didn't quite understand the concept. We both lied on the floor in silence, nobody really cared to say anything to us at all, it felt as if everyone around us was completely gone. That was, until Kazuha suddenly spoke up.

"Soo.. the purpose is to,, point out the shapes?" Kazuha looked over at me with a confused face.

I laughed, "Pretty much"

Kazuha hummed in response and turned to where he was facing the sky again.

"See, that one looks like,, a rabbit."
I reached my arm out and pointed at said cloud in the sky for Kazuha to see. He furrowed his eyebrows as he focused on the cloud, trying his hardest to see the image I see.

"I don't see it."

"How can you not see it? Look! There's the body, the ears, and then the tail." I said as I pointed to each part of the cloud in the sky.

"I guess it kind of looks like a rabbit?"

"Oh! And that one looks like a dinosaur!"

Kazuha laughed as I pointed out another cloud nearby, "You have quite the unique imagination, Y/n"

"Yeah, but that's what makes it fun!"

"I see."

"C'mon! Try it Kazuha. There has to be something you see at least?"

"Okay.... Uhhh let's see", Kazuha pondered for a minute as he watched each and every cloud.
"That one looks like... a... fish?" Kazuha reached out into the sky with his bandaged hand, pointing at a cloud shaped somewhat like a fish with his index finger.

"Hmmmm,, Yeah, I can see that! Not bad Kazuha."

"Thanks, I guess?"
I laughed as Kazuha stared at me with a puzzled look, confused as to why I was laughing at first, until he decided to laugh with me.

We spent the rest if the time watching the clouds and the sunset until we were gazing at a sky full of twinkling stars. (Twinkle twinkle little star 🤩🤩)

We were both laughing and we had been randomly talking and making out constellations with the stars for the past five to ten minutes or so.

"Okay okay, and then... those stars, if you connect them.. it's a heart"

Kazuha slightly squinted his eyes and tilted his head, "Huh,, they kind of do look like a heart,, interesting.", Kazuha smiled.

The ocean waves gently collided with the sides of the boat, creating crashing sounds of water against the sturdy wood.

Kazuha's smile faded, he didn't want this moment to come to an end. Kazuha sighed, as sat up from the floor, propping himself up with his arms on either side of him he looked down at me and spoke,

"Y/n, It's getting pretty late. We should head to bed."

I gazed up at him with a frown as I sighed and took one last look at the glimmering stars before sitting up as well. He gave me a apologetic smile as he stood up and offered me his hand to take. I took his hand in mine and he pulled me up to my feet. Not letting go of my hand, "Come on, I'll walk you to your room." I nodded with a smile in response as he walked beside me to the rooms.

We stopped in front of my door and Kazuha stood behind me. I opened the door slightly, then turned around to face Kazuha to say goodnight.
Kazuha smiled at me as he was only a few inched away from me. He still had my hand in his and his bright crimson red eyes gazed at mine. Kazuha's smile slowly faded and I could feel my face burning a bright pink as butterflies fluttered through my stomach.

Kazuha lifted his other hand, gently placing it against the side of my face. His hands felt cold compared to my face that was burning up to his actions. Kazuha continued to gaze into my eyes, not breaking contact at all. Though he also had a tint of pink on his face, he showed no other signs of being flustered. I could feel the tension in the air all around us as we stood there in silence in the hallway.

Kazuha sighed and slowly moved his hand off my face as he released my hand. He took a step back with a smile as his sudden boost of confidence vanished and he now felt embarrassed.

The butterflies, that were once swarming in my stomach, have fluttered away and the tension in the air faded, so did the feeling of Kazuha's gentle touch.

"Good night, Y/n." I slightly frowned and forced a smile onto my face before speaking, "Good night, see you tomorrow morning." Kazuha nodded and I slowly waved at him as he walked away down the hall and into his room, leaving me in the poorly lighted hallway. I sighed and brought both my hands up to my face,

"So close, yes so far,, Y/n you idiot."
I scolded myself as I turned around and walked into my room.

I shut the door and flopped onto my bed as I stared blankly at the ceiling.

I had no idea what Kazuha's intentions were, nor what he was feeling at the moment, but I couldn't help but feel disappointed it didn't happen. Maybe it was just a simple "Good night" or maybe it was so much more. But all it ended up being was something he definitely wasn't going to mention tomorrow.

I sighed as I turned out the lamp and drifted asleep in the dark room.
