~Chapter 29~

                        ~Chapter 29: Rest~

As I rested my head on Kazuha's shoulder, I let out a long yawn (i yawned twice while typing that)
"Tired are we?" Kazuha asked, followed by a laugh as I sleepily nodded.

"Hang in there love, It's almost over." He said as rested his head on mine and gently squeezed my hand.

Soon after the firework show had unfortunately come to an end, and so did the festival. Kazuha had decided to get us a room at the inn were we'd most likely be staying at for a while. He got us one room instead of two separate rooms to save some mora. By the end of the night I was absolutely worn out from running around everywhere looking at absolutely everything and everyone.

Kazuha carried me on his back for most of the way as we walked to the Inn. He placed me down gently as we finally arrived after what seemed like forever.
As we entered the Inn holding hands, Kazuha and I were both greeted by the lady at the desk, she must have recognized me as she waved at me and said "welcome back!" With a smile. I waved back at her as Kazuha led me to our room.

Once I entered the room I threw myself on the slightly bigger bed than the last room I had and groaned as I stared at the dark ceiling. Kazuha flicked on the light as he settled down into the room. "Y/n, are you going to change? Or are you going to sleep in that?" He laughed as he placed his sword down on the table momentarily. I groaned as I sat up on the bed and grabbed my fresh change of clothes, and walked into the bathroom.

Once I left the bathroom in my more comfortable clothes, Kazuha entered the bathroom and I immediately crawled into the soft bed.

Once Kazuha exited the bathroom he set his clothes down neatly. He shook his head and laughed under his breath as I pulled the covers over my head and faced the wall. He slid the hair tie out if his hair, brushing his hair and tossing the hair tie hopefully somewhere he'd be able to find it tomorrow before he turned out the dim light and crawled into the bed next to me. He wrapped his arms around my waist, hugging me before I uncovered my face and turned to the side to directly face him. His hair framed his face and rested on his shoulders perfectly.
He smiled at me as I sleepily smiled back as I began playing with his long, soft hair.

"Goodnight, Y/n."

"Goodnight, Kazuha. And Thank you for today.. I had so much fun" I said as I played with the necklace he gave me with my other hand.
He smiled as he held his hand on the side of my face "I'm glad you have fun, because I did too. I'm so thankful I got to spend tonight with you, you're truly special to me."
Before I could respond he placed a soft kiss on my lips, "Get some rest, we had a long night" I nodded as he wrapped his arms around me and gently played with my hair until I fell asleep.

When I woke up the next morning I was facing the wall, Kazuha still asleep behind me. I rubbed my eyes and yawned as I turned on my back. As I attempted to sit up, I felt Kazuha's arms wrap around my waist an pull me back down.

"Where do you think your going?"

Kazuha said in a quiet and low voice as his eyes remained closed and his hair scattered in his face. "I'm getting up to get ready?"

"I don't think so."

I rolled my eyes as Kazuha showed absolutely no intention of letting me go. "Come on Kazuha, we've got to get ready."

"Just a few more minutes love." I rolled my eyes as Kazuha sleepily looked up at me. "...fine." He smiled as I accepted defeat and gave in. He played with my hair as I buried my face in his chest. Now that I think about it, we didn't really have any plans for later and a little more sleep wouldn't hurt, considering how late we went to bed the night before. I found myself falling asleep once again as Kazuha placed a kiss on my head.

(A/n sorry for such a boring chapter y'all I literally have no ideas but uh yeah. I'm considering making a "About the Author" book or something idk uhh thoughts? Also my chapter titles suck like wtf how do you name these i'm so un creative 💀💀
