Chapter 32.. 505 words

I woke up in a room full of complete silence. the walls weren't recognizable as the Inn, and I felt a little dizzy and confused. Worst of all, I felt complete emptiness behind me, I yawned, brushing it off at first. Until I turned around, expecting Kazuha to be staring right back at me with a smile as he greeted me good morning.

But he wasn't there.

I sat up as goosebumps covered the surface of my skin and I shivered slightly. I rubbed my eyes as I tried to process something about where I was, and then I remembered.

"Kazuha??"

Kazuha was nowhere to be found, the spot next to me was empty and seemingly un touched by anyone. I looked at my nightstand, 2:06. I sighed as my head felt like it was running in circles and I began to slowly panic.

"Kazuha where are you?"

silence.

"Nonononono what's going on!? Kazuha!?" I got up and stumbled around slightly as I searched for any sign of him. His sword maybe? Scarf? Vision? Note? Anything?

Nothing.

I collapsed back down on my bed as my head began endlessly pounding and I felt tears begin to come to my eyes. I grabbed a pillow and shoved my face in it. As I tried to pull myself together, but I just couldn't.

Wait. Where's my necklace?
I felt around my chest and under my shirt for the necklace Kazuha gave me the night we shared that kiss together at the festival underneath the bright fireworks in the night sky.. but It was gone. I had nothing and Kazuha didn't seem to exist.

was it all just a fever dream? No way. It felt too real. I want to go back. I want to be with Kazuha again. Why must I wake up? Why couldn't I say?

A thousand questions ran through my mind as I began to sob harder.

I lied down on my bed, in a poor attempt to go back to sleep and maybe go back. But I tossed and turned and to no avail, It wasn't going to happen. Tears covered my pillow as they kept streaming down my face.

It doesn't make any sense! This can't be happening. Maybe it was real, maybe this is a dream and I'll wake up soon to Kazuha gently shaking me awake, without a doubt. I'll be back in Kazuha's embrace and we'll be happy, and it'll stay that way. And this will all just be a bad dream I can forget about in no time because Kazuha will reassure me and hold me close.

Or maybe I'm just desperate to believe It was all real and that I found somebody as good and unreal as Kazuha.
