Chapter 31 // poem

I know I say this a lot, but I'm sorry for taking so long with this chapter we're already at 40k reads oh my god- I was taking lots of time and doing some massive brainstorming for the most part. But uh yeah Enjoy these next few chapters.

Also I hope parts of the fanfic line up because there's been a change in plans so I'm not really sure. I just really hope this all makes perfect sense and that there's no confusion.

Please let me know if some parts of this don't line up because I've been working on it overtime and I've made lots of changes to the original idea overtime. But yeah, I hope you enjoy this chapter. It's kinda cute ngl.

By now the stars were out and the breeze was a lot cooler. Kazuha looked up at the night sky while I began to feel tired.
"Y/n?"

"Yes, Kazuha?"

"I have something I'd like to give you."

"Yeah okay"

Kazuha let go if my hand and then reached into his pocket and pulled out a folded piece of paper, handing it to me.

I sat up to look at Kazuha, I got comfortable and opened the paper as Kazuha nervously began to fumble with his fingers.I looked up at him, "What's this?"
"Just.. just read it." Kazuha turned a slight red as he picked at the bandages on his hand, looking opposite direction of my eyes.

Is this a poem?

I nodded as I began to read. The poem wasn't very long, but I could tell it had lots of meaning to him, and that he definitely meant every word that he took so long to think of and write down.
(Sorry but I won't be writing the poem down because poems currently aren't my specialty..)

I finished the poem, not sure what to say. Kazuha was heating up and I felt tears in my eyes as I folded the paper. You could tell how much Kazuha loved you. I looked over at Kazuha. He kept avoiding my gaze as he spoke, "I started writing it not long after we introduced ourselves, and I continued it as I fell more and more in love with you. I just finished it recently." Kazuha sat there, nervously waiting for some sort of response.

I sat silent for a moment before I processed some words to say. "Kazuha.. you really have no idea how much this means to me do you?"
He looked back at me and I put my hand on his face "why were you so nervous to give this to me?"

"I don't know, I guess you're just the first person to stay, and the first person I ever truly loved."
He paused, "and I wanted to show that to you. And I thought now would be a appropriate time, so you no longer feel worried about what you have to tell me I don't know"

Truth was, I didn't exactly have anything to tell Kazuha. I just had this terrible feeling I couldn't seem to shake. A feeling as if everything was going by a little to fast. A feeling that made me overthink a little to much.

"Thank you Kazuha, I love it."
He smiled as I pulled him in for a long kiss. (To seal it of course. (I hope you can see where the title came from)) We pulled away and I rested my head on Kazuha's lap. He smiled as he held my hand again and played with my hair and I help the poem close to my heart.

Kazuha shook his head with a smile while his hand brushed through my hair that was scattered on his lap. In the next few minutes I began to doze off, and for the first time that night I felt relaxed.

It was not but a few minutes later Kazuha was resting until A single water droplet landed on his hand. Kazuha looked up at the clouds in the sky before back at me. More raindrops began to fall, "I expected this weather would come about eventually, Just not so soon." He let out a disappointed sigh, "It's time we head back." Kazuha lifted me up slightly, trying his best not to disturb me. Kazuha was able to stand up and gain his balance while carrying me bridal style in his arms. (Now he just needs to make me his bride🥺 )

Kazuha unlocked the door and walked into the room. He set the keys aside while walking over to the bed. Kazuha placed his hand on my lower back while gently trying to place me down on the mattress comfortably. He moved his other hand to the back of my head, supporting it while placing my head on the pillow.

Kazuha hovered over me while he gently moved my hair out of my face before placing a Kiss on my forehead. I smiled. Kazuha took the blankets and pulled them over me.

I looked up at him, "You're getting into bed too right?"

"Of course love, I'd never leave you" he continued, "are you cold?"

I nodded while scooting over in the bed. Kazuha laughed as he took the hair tie out of his hair and placed it on the desk before he crawled onto the bed. He pulled me into a hug as I pulled the blankets over our shoulders.  I reached to kiss him, to which he smiled. "Goodnight Kazuha."

"Goodnight, Y/n. Sleep well."

As I dozed off I heard him whisper quietly three words softly as his face faded and all I saw was black.

"I love you"
