Im surprised I made it through the night with no nightmares. I've noticed dad hasn't had any either but that's because he has Leah over nights now. I wanted to make a nice breakfast before I left. As I am about to finish up, dad walks in and goes to get come coffee.
"Morning sweetie" dad says.
"Morning dad, hey so around 10 I'm going to hang out with Emmett today. I think I need to give this mate thing a good honest attempt. But I'm going to let him know that I need to take it slow and I hope he understands that." I say with a sigh.
"Sweetheart, it will work out okay? Also Leah is already gone, she had to go home and help her mom with a few things today so it'll just be us for breakfast." He says.
"That's okay, I actually wanted to talk to you about something. I was talking with Embry last night and he talked to me a little bit about his past and how he doesn't know his dad and his mom is essentially an ass. Anyways, I noticed that he walks everywhere even though he has a license. What do you think about maybe getting him a vehicle for Christmas?" I ask.
"Let me think about it okay?" Dad says.
"Yeah of course thanks dad! If you need me I'll be with the Cullens today." I say.
After breakfast I go take a shower and get dressed.

Once I'm finished up, I head down to say bye to dad and go meet Emmett at the border. I drove my jeep and saw him standing there waiting. He got in the passenger seat and told me where to drive.
"Think your family will like me?" I ask
"I think so. I mean you are my mate so they should be welcoming. If it's anyone who will have a problem it'll be Rose." He says. I nod my head in response.
We finally pull up to his house and damn it's nice. I park my jeep and jump out. Im kinda nervous but oddly relaxed. Emmett opens the door for me and ushers me in. He takes me to the living room where everyone is waiting.
"Guys, this is Violet. Violet, this is Edward, Alice, Jasper, Rosalie, Esme, and Carlisle." Emmett finished introducing them.
"Hello, it's nice to meet you." I wave a little awkwardly.
"Hi dear, it's wonderful to finally meet you!" Esme says! "Please make yourself at home."
"Thank you, I appreciate that. But I was hoping to steal Emmett and talk to him a little bit." I say looking up at him.
He leads me out back onto the deck.
"Is everything okay?" He asked.
"Yes, I wanted to let you know that I'm okay with the mate bond but you need to understand that we need to go slow. I've never done anything like this before. I have a really rough past that I'm not ready to share yet but I will eventually. But I just hope you are okay with going slow and not push me into anything I'm not comfortable with." I say
"Violet, of course we can go slow. That won't bother me any at all." He says hugging me.
I immediately relax and think I could get used to this.
We go back inside and hang out with everyone else. The guys are playing with video games and the girls are to the side talking about fashion. Rosalie keeps looking at me like she could kill me. I eventually start to feel overwhelmed so I go outside to get some air.
Five minutes of being outside, Rose comes out the door.
"You know he won't shut up about you." She says.
"Really? I didn't think I was that special." I say
"I am just going to be up front and honest with you. Do you want this kind of life?" Rose asks.
"No. I don't. And I hope some day he will be okay with that." I say softly.
"If you don't mind me asking what happened in your past? I didn't mean to over hear but us vampires have super hearing." She say.
"Im not ready to talk about it yet. Im still getting through it." I tell her with tears starting to form in my eyes.
She shocks me by asking "physical, mental or emotional?"
I look at her wide eyed and shift a little bit on my legs. "All three." Is all I can choke out.
She pulls me into a hug like she understood. "Let's go for a walk away from listening ears." I nod my head.
We go into the woods and find a rock shelf to sit on. "If I tell you this information, you need to understand I have the ability to block it out of your mind so Edward won't know. Are you okay with that?" I ask her.
"Yes but before you start I want you to know my story." She says and begins to tell me how she was taken advantage of and transitioned into a vampire.

"When I was 5 I was kidnapped by an organization called Hydra. At first it started off as small hits nothing too bad since I was so young. By the time I was 7 they started injecting me with several different serums. I can control the elementals, I have telekinesis, and telepathic abilities with any kind of mind. Animal or human. When I was 9 is when the physical abuse started to get worse. They would hit me harder, kick me, cut me and more. And then they would start throwing themselves onto me. They would tie me down or strap me down so I couldn't move and just have their way with me. It would never just be one person either. It was always multiple guys at least twice a week to get in their fix and I couldn't do anything about it. I would just lay there wishing i was dead." Im sobbing at this point but keep talking. "The mental abuse came from them trying to wipe my memory to make me forget things and try to have control over me but it never worked. However, it did exhaust me and hurt my head. Emotionally they would always belittle me. Talk bad about my parents, tell me they would never come and get me, called me so many names, and I couldn't do anything about it. When I was 13 I was finally found. My parents ended up dying saving me so my Uncle Bucky adopted me and became my dad. We lived and worked with the avengers for 3 years while I was gaining control over my powers and then moved here to La Push. Other than my dad and Leah, my bestfriend Embry is the only one who knows everything that really happened to me in Hydra. And well now you. I guess. I leave out alot of details for everyone else because I don't want them to know. I'm not ready to tell Emmett but when the time comes I will." I finish telling her.
"You are so strong and brave for fighting through this and at such a young age as well. If you ever need to talk you tell me and I'll be here. And please block this from being able to read." She said.
We make it back to the house laughing and cutting up. The rest of the day was great!
I spent more time with Emmett cuddled up into him and spending time with his family. We ended up going off on our own and talked for a while to get to know each other better. It was nice just sitting around with him and talking.
He was a funny guy. He told me about how he turned into a vampire, which was heartbreaking to hear, and we talked some about my past but not too much.
Around 10pm I start to head home. Emmett rode with me to the treating line and got out to tell me goodnight one last time. I got home, changed into my pj's and went to sleep getting ready for school tomorrow.
