Brett Talbot Pt.1

No no no! why did he have to come here!? why couldn't he have stayed at Devenford Prep! you think as you go through the halls to the bathroom. you check each stall and lock the door before you look into the mirror and see your eyes glowing a bright yellow and fangs exposed.

you drop your bag before you grip the sink and notice your extended claws. you wanted to rip his throat out and kiss him at the same time. you take a deep breath and look into the mirror. "Alpha. Beta. Omega." you says to yourself.

you continue the chant Derek taught you until you claws and fangs retract. you close your eyes and open them and see them normal.

you grab your things and leave the bathroom. as youre heading back to trig, you run into someone. someone tall. "damn it." you mutter. "sorry."

"its alright, Wolf Girl." a familiar voice says. you look up and see him. Brett Talbot. the boy made you on the brink of changing.

"might want to be careful." he says. "your eyes."

"screw you." you growl and feel your fangs pushing on your bottom lip. you push past him and start to walk away.

"oh come on Y/N. i don't know why you hate me."

you froze midstride. he always called you Wolf Girl unless you two were alone. Wolf Girl. even before you were bitten.

you close your eyes. and take a deep breathe, closing your hands into fists. "i don't hate you, Brett." you say quietly.

"then why'd you break up with me?" he asks, a hint of sadness in his voice.

you didn't have a good reason. you panicked once you went through your first full moon alone and broke all ties at Devenford and transferred to start over, to have a new pack that would help. you wanted him to move on, find someone better and it pissed you off that he didn't.

you turn around and look up into his eyes. even in your heels you were shorter than him. "look Brett, i don't hate you. i never did. i panicked after my first full moon alone and left. i cut my loses and decided to start over."

he looks down at you with a small smile. "Y/N... you have no idea how much i missed you. i would sit there, staring at my phone, debating whether to call you or not. i missed you so much."

"i told you to move on, find someone better." you say softly.

"no one is better than you. you're strong and beautiful and amazing. Y/N, i need you. you make me a better person... will you be my wolf girl again?"

you roll your eyes with a slight smile. "are you ever going to stop calling me Wolf Girl?"

he shakes his head, laughing. "not a chance."

"whatever Wolf Boy. i gotta get back to trig." you say and turn. you walk back to your class when your hearing picks up Brett's voice.

"thanks for the answer." he says sarcastically.

"if that wasn't an answer, then i don't know what is." you say, knowing he can hear you.

"see you after school?" he asks, hope slightly in his voice.

"ill be in the bleachers during lacrosse practice so yeah." you open the door to trig, prepared for your teacher to yell at you.
