you flop down on the couch between Nash and Hayes. you drop your phone into your lap and toss your head back.

"you okay?" Hayes asks.

"no not really." you groan.

"what's wrong?" Nash asks.

"Matts being a total ass!" you exclaim and throw your arms in the air. "he keeps freaking telling me that we can talk about it later but later never comes!"

"talk about what later?" Nash urges.

"about freaking meeting my parents." you sit up and prop your chin on your hand.

"he doesn't want to?"

"i don't know." you sigh. "it's like when he's on your he wants to, but when he's here he can't be bothered with it at all!!"

you move to the floor and sprawl out on your back. "it's irritating because my mom and dad really want to meet him but he's always dodging the question when we talk!"

"hold on a minute." Nash says and fiddles with his phone. "Hey Matt!" he exclaims and you shoot him a look of shock.

he shushes you discreetly and you raise your eyebrows but flop back down.

he sighs. "hey Nash. how's it going?"

"it's fine. just a little bored. what about you?"

"could be better. could be a lot better."

"what's the problem?"

"Y/N keeps wanting me to meet her parents..."

"and you don't want to?"

"don't get me wrong. i do. i really want to meet Y/Ns parents. i mean, she's the love of my life but what if her parents don't like me?"

you roll over and look up at Nash. "tell him that my parents would love him cause they're dying to meet him." you mouth to him.

"look Matt. i really doubt they'd hate you. i mean, i bet they really want to meet you. you guys have been together for like two years."

"yeah i know but... i don't know i just don't want to blow it and then they say she can't see me anymore." he trails off.

you groan quietly and stand up. you motion for Nash to hand you the phone and he does. you flip the screen around to face you.

"look Matt." you start and his eyes dart to the screen. "i get it. you're scared to meet them. but you act like I'm going to leave you with them. you act like something absolutely horrible is going to happen!"

"Y/N.. i love you and i don't want to mess up what we have." he says softly.

"you won't Matt. they really really want to meet you."

"okay... okay tomorrow, we'll go to their house. is that okay?"

"that's perfect... wait tomorrow? you're on tour.."

the door opens behind you and whirl around to find Matt standing in front of you. "Matt!" you exclaim and jump into his arms.

he holds you tight and laughs. "i missed you too Y/N."
