Jack Gilinsky

//request: can you do a Jack Gilinsky imagine where it's your graduation party and you guys have been life long friends and feelings are admitted?//

you smiled as you wandered through the crowd of your classmates. you all did it. you graduated high school. class of 2016. you've known some of these people- Gilinsky, Sammy, Skate, Johnson - since elementary. it hurt your heart a little that you might not see them again.

you pulled down the skirt of your red dress - you chose red because you liked it better than the gold gowns the girls wore at graduation - and went to find Gilinsky. as of football season, you started to gain feelings for him.

he was a receiver, so he got hurt often. you were a student trainer, so you were at every varsity game. he always asked you to take care of him and that's when it started. they say you should marry your best friend... maybe that was true.

you found him smiling and talking with Madison. Madison and Jack - or Jadison as it had started around school - has been having nothing but problems lately. he kept trying to fix it but it never stayed fixed for long. Madison was lying, talking to other guys, and saying she wanted to break up with him. you wanted "Jadison" to end but you didn't want to look like a homewrecker.

you took a deep breathe and walked over to Jack. you had to tell him tonight because it might be the last time you'd ever see him.

"hey Gilinsk." you smiled and stood next to him.

"Y/N!" he smiled and hugged you. you hugged him back and felt Madison giving you the evil eye. "we made it." he said solemnly as he pulled away and surveyed the crowd. "seven years elementary, 2 years middle school, 4 years high school... we made it."

you smiled softly and nodded. you loved seeing him so content. "yeah." you said softly and nodded. "we made it."

you looked over at Madison. "Madison, do you mind if I make rounds with Jack?" you asked.

"uh yeah. go ahead." she smiled bitterly.

you pulled Jack away and ended up making rounds, talking with friends of yours and his.

"psst." you whispered and jack looked down at you. you nodded towards your room and he followed you.

you shut the door behind you and he sat on the bed. you sat next to him and sighed. "okay. so the real reason I pulled you aside was because I had to talk to you."

he nodded and took your hands. "yeah I had to talk to you too."

your heart thumped hard in your chest and you swallowed hard. "okay well um, you know we've grown up together and that's kind of why I didn't want to say this sooner but ever since football season I've been feeling like this and I needed to tell you right now. I know we've sort of talked about it already but nothing really serious so-"

"Y/N..." he cut you off. "I know what you're talking about. you're talking about your feelings for me and my feelings for you..."

"yeah." you nodded. "and also Madison."

"Madison and I are a joke." he scoffed. "I was gonna break up with her before you went over there actually. but look, ever since football season I started to feel something too. you've always been like my best friend and they say you should marry your best friend. I'm not saying we should get married right away but-"

"Jack." you laughed and stopped  him. "you're rambling."

he laughed too and laced his fingers through yours. "Y/N... all I know is that I want to be with you. I want to be able to call you mine. you've always been there for me and always tried to help me and I want nothing more than to wake up next to you..."

"are you asking me to be your girlfriend?" you smiled and asked. you didn't want to say yes right away because he hadn't officially broken up with Madison and people would talk about you and about Jack dating someone two minutes after Madison. but what did that matter? you were graduated. all the petty high school drama didn't matter anymore... only Jack Gilinsky mattered.

"I am... Y/N, I think I love you. like really love you." he smiled.

his smile could always light up the room. you swore it had the power to end wars and beat cancer. "good. because I really love you too Jack." you replied and stood. "but before anything else happens... you have Madison to deal with."

he stood up and threw an arm around your shoulder. "you're right. but I dont. we do."

you both walked out and found Madison talking with some of Jacks and your friends who graduated the year before you.

"Madison.." Jack called and motioned her over.

"well, here we go." he whispered to you...
