I know that nobody would expect me to survive falling off a cliff like that.
But how would that be the case of I was still here telling you my story?
So yeah, I survived my fall, and you all are going to be very surprised about this, but I was saved by a resident of the island.
And without her, I would be dead.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I was certain that I had died from the fall, which had to be about at least 27 feet.
But instead, I felt the air after what felt like a few hours. It also felt like I was mostly submerged in water. I opened my eyes and saw that I was now in some sort of cave, leaving me nothing but curious as to how I got here.
I tried to get out of the water, only for a hand to pull me out, but it felt rather furry. I looked up at the owner of the hand to see that the one who pulled me out was barely even human.
Their skin was furry in several different colors and soft and their body was shaped mostly like a human. They had webbed tails that were about 2 and a half feet long. The head was, for the most part like mine aside for the fur, ears, muzzle and the eyes, which were an unusual black with blue pupils.
My immediate reaction left me shocked and didn't know how to react, so I just tried backing away from this strange creature into a corner.
"Hold on, I'm not gonna hurt you, I don't bite!" Stuttered the creature. I was obviously skeptical of her claim like most normal people.
"Ok then, how did I get here, last I remember I was running away from a giant pig with tusks and falling down a cliff to my presumable doom." I said.
"Wait, I can explain all of that!" She said.
I sat down and listened closely to see what she had to offer.
She told me her name is Shelly and she had found me while walking in the forest and brought me to this cave where this "magic water" was kept and she said that the water could heal any injury possible, which explained how I was no longer in pain or had any of my limbs broken.
Shelly then began asking me questions like what am I?, who am I?, and how did I get here? just to name a few.
"I am a human boy, my name is Evan, and to put it in summary, I just tripped on some stairs and fell through some sort of tunnel into this mysterious world." I said.
Shelly was even more confused as if I had given more questions than answers, and indeed I did. She then asked things like what are humans? and What are stairs?
I began telling her about humans and that we were the ones that made the planet what it is today. I also tried explaining what stairs were and found out that it was far more easier said than done.
We eventually settled down once I got the concept of pets like cats and dogs across her mind.
She handed me my backpack and I began walking out of the cave, only to find out that the sun had set and it was now much harder to see.
I ended up going back to Shelly and asked if I could spend the night with her since I didn't want to go alone in the darkness.
Shelly said that I could stay with her for as long as I needed to and I gratefully thanked her for her kindness.
She led me into a deeper section of the cave where I giant rug of soft cotton had been made to hold two people and a few blankets had been made as well.
I hike laying down on all the soft materials, Shelly began talking about how this cave felt like a mother to her as she always slept in it every night. I didn't really talk much that night because I was more focused on finding my way home.
But I would be lying if I said I wasn't happy I had found someone I could talk to again.
