Now, this may sound easier on paper, but finding the island's heart deep underground is easier said than done. And I know a lot of you are probably thinking that, and frankly I can't blame you as I wasn't told by anyone where to go in order to reach the heart and that meant I would 110% get lost.
But, despite all the odds, even with the guards patrolling the area. I was still determined to get down there, and I actually would, only to discover something far greater than anything imaginable, and it would also affect me as well.
But this is a story that I'd rather tell you about in detail.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
When I was sure everyone else was asleep, I equipped myself with the various food and tools I had gotten from the shops and mine respectively. And after that I was pretty much all settled. I began to sneak around the marketplaces, making sure to avoid the guards that were on patrol that night. There were a few close calls no doubt, but I thankfully made it to the mine entrance without getting spotted.
I then began to make my way down through all of the tunnels in an effort to reach the main lair. The only issue was that I had no clue where the heart's lair was. But it was also a good thing lanterns were always in the tunnels and lighting the way. So I simply tried following them down the main tunnel.
I eventually arrived at the deepest part of the mines where there were these carts on rails carrying various items that the miners discovered in the area. Don't get me wrong if you think I wasn't amazed by this, mostly because it resembled Minecraft a lot.
After navigating around more, I had finally made it down to a part of the main mineshaft that hadn't been fully explored and that meant that I had to take one of the lanterns with me to guide my way. But the main reason I was so scared of this part of the journey was that I didn't know what could possibly be down here as I already knew there were these giant carnivore fish that almost turned me into a meal.
But I knew I had come this far, I wasn't going to back down now out of all times. So I pressed on further into the catacombs of this cave. But it wasn't too long before something went wrong, I accidentally tripped and dropped the lantern, and it shattered and the fire quickly burned out. And just like that, I was without light, and completely alone. Well, that was, until I heard a voice calling out to me from the shadows.
"Evan, come."
It sounded like the voice of a young woman. But it had a fairly ghostly tone to it as if it was a spirit who was talking to me. At first, I thought my mind was playing tricks on me. But the second I turned around, I realized I was actually face to face with the spirit talking to me. It was a young woman who was floating and everything on her body was glowing white. And I just knew it in my gut, that this was THE Island's heart in some sort of human form talking to me. And even though I was still scared, I found the courage to speak.
"So you're the Island's heart or goddess or whatever?"
"Indeed, I am the one who knows the big history of this island. And I can't wait to tell you the story, and before that, I'd like to bring you somewhere."
The goddess then turned and began floating towards a certain direction in the cave and I turned and followed her to another section of the cave. And it would turn out to be this large room with pictures of what was supposedly history written all across the room in a sort of timeline. But it was in the large center of the room that was the most awe-giving sight. A large glowing white ball was floating in the middle of the room and the minute I saw it, I was in a different location.
It was a young woman sitting in a cave surrounded by candles and igniting them all to have her entire body begin glowing. I tried speaking to her but it was like I wasn't even there, however the spirit began talking. "That's who I used to be. A young mortal girl, my name was Kipo." Said the spirit. I continued watching the girl and saw her body glow white and she eventually left the cave and she seemed confused on where she was as if she had been transported to another dimension.
I was then set in what seemed to be another vision as the same now-glowing girl was creating orbs and reshaping them into strange and bizarre creatures and I recognized a few of them as the rainbow squirrels I had seen within the first few minutes of coming to this island.
But the next one was what really got my attention, as the spirit was leading what seemed like at least 100 kids onto the island through portals. And that was what made me think back to what some residents of the kingdom say that a goddess led them to the island.
The next vision was with a few members of the Gray Nahele tribe being born and some beginning to hunt for food and looking for shelter and eventually moving onto building themselves a village and establishing the caste system.
But there was another vision attracting my attention, there was a small female creature that was undeniably Shelly interacting with Larry. And I could remember that Shelly had originally said that the goddess was her mother. But the final vision was like the final nail in the coffin. It was me interacting with Shelly in the cave which had been on the second day I had come to the island.
And that was the end of the short history lesson. And also where I could figure some things out. "I suppose you named this island as Kipoiwa after yourself, didn't you?" I asked. "Yes my dear boy as I am what created every single organism on this island." She said.
It was then I began asking the spirit, or rather Kipo, the real questions I wanted to know. "Well, is there any way to get off this island and get to another place like Canada or America?" I asked. "I'm so sorry, but this island is the only thing that exists now, when I performed that ritual, it just transported me to another reality where I was the only being there before I began shaping my territory. But even if I had just created a brand new island in the world, I wouldn't know where either of those places are. But if you do come from there, I would like to know how it is there."
It was then I was completely devastated, I was just here in this plain existence of nothing forever?
It all seemed hopeless now, I had been here for around 3 weeks all for absolutely nothing. But I did want to at least share my life experiences at the goddess' request. And so I told her about everything about my life in the world she likely wouldn't know about as she probably lived in the late Middle Ages at the time of performing the ritual. She seemed very interested in it as well, and so after I had finished, a warm smile had spread across her face. It was then she said something that turned my whole situation around.
"Well, on second thought, even if I aren't able to get you back home, then I do know that there are some of your kind breaking in through the barrier that divides our worlds, and you can return to your realm through there." She said. At that moment, I was over the moon with excitement. "But, I am to leave you with something that you must pass on in the future when you next return." She said.
All I remember next is her locking eyes with me and feeling warm energy course through my body. "Don't worry, I'll remind you when it happens, and I shall now let you go, good luck my dear boy." Said the spirit. And so, the spirit pointed me towards a direction within the caves and so I did as instructed. I walked for several minutes before I heard the sound of rushing water and I began moving closer towards the sound before eventually coming across a body of water.
I was obviously hesitant at first, but out of nowhere, the spirit pushed me down the waterway as I began frantically trying to swim back and save myself, but it was no use. As I traveled down the river, I could feel some parts of my body changing. First I felt a pressure in my pants and it ended up bursting through my pants. I looked back and saw some sort of silver webbed tail coming from my butt. I was absolutely dumbfounded by this and it was only by the sight of what was up ahead, was what broke me out of my surprised trance.
A waterfall. And one that I was about to go over too.
