Chapter 17: The Beginning of a New Era (Part 2)

At this time, I realized that I was woefully unprepared to do what I was about to do. I had the idea of following one of these A-Sync vehicles down to their facility and go through there and get back to my world and go through the plan from there. However, what I didn't factor in was if they had the possible equipment to detect my presence. And indeed they did, and likely a whole lot more that just that kind of equipment.

It was all when I had begun sneaking up on an A-Sync vehicle that was taking some pictures of some plants whilst studying others with some tools that I simply couldn't recognize. Suddenly, I saw that a satellite atop the truck starting going haywire and making loud noise. I suppose that was the response of it trying to detect me.

Some of the men then went back inside the truck. And when they came out, they had what I could only assume were tranquilizers, guns and flamethrowers. I thought the ladder of which was a bit extreme. "Come out. Come out wherever you are." They chanted. It was then I decided I needed a far less risky strategy and I attempted to flee so that the satellite won't notice me.

However, when I tried to get away, one of the men came out with another machine that when set up, began pumping out strange gas. I must've inhaled some of it because I began feeling tired thanks to their sedative and I eventually passed out.

I'll probably never know of everything that went on between these two moments, but I know that I did end up waking back up, but I was strapped down to a bed and in a strange room. It had the vibes of a hospital, but I already knew that it wasn't the case. I was in the A-Sync facility and I was still in my hybrid form.

I was still able to open my eyes and found an extremely bright and blinding light shining in my face. Whilst my sight was recovering, I could hear some nearby voices, and I was just simply disturbed by what they were saying.

"So you're saying this thing isn't the same as what we caught on the camera months ago?"

"No. It has the same exact shape as it, but even if it could change the color of its fur, I'm very sure that the creature we saw didn't have wings like the one we've recently captured."

"Interesting, anything from the blood sample Ein?"

"Well, things got a whole lot of different kinds of animal blood, but mostly wolf, frog, and bird."

"Hmmm, so when shall we get the dissection started?"

"When Jim and the others arrive, which should be any minute now."

It was then I knew, they were planning to cut into me and take me apart! But luckily, I already was forming a plan.

A few moments later, I heard footsteps coming in whilst I pretended to be asleep. And I heard the surgeon putting his gloves on while everyone else was getting the tray of tools ready.

"Scalpel."

Seconds later, I felt the blade cutting into me, but it didn't hurt at all, it didn't even seem to affect me at all. Good thing I drank some of that magic healing water from Shelly's place earlier.

I suspected that everyone in the room was straight up dumbfounded and they likely would've tried to get more extreme firepower, so I used the opportunity to swiftly break out of my chains. And from there, I just went at everybody in the room, and before they realized it, I was out of the room and was bolting through the facility.

And this is where I starting getting lost, mainly due to the A-Sync facility corridors were pretty much a maze, and the blaring alarm that did nothing but irritate my ears and disturb my focus.
