"I don't trust him. He's hiding something" She says to the two as she paced the room, while they sat on the bed, sharing a worried expression as they watched her.

"Or maybe he's just trying to be the nice guy in your life," Thalia says from the bed. "You're so paranoid about everything and everyone from your trauma that you can't even think to take a second to see that he's not a bad guy," She says getting up placing a hand on her shoulder to calm her down.

"I agree with her. Melinoë you have reasonable trauma like us, myself now included" He says, coming over by them, referring to Pollux. "But Poseidon is a good man. Give him a chance" He advised. "Who knows he might surprise you. Like Thalia" motioning with his head, pointing at her. "Did with that kiss"

"CASTOR!?" She yelled in disbelief standing next to her.

"Oops," he says jumping back. "Wait! was I not supposed to tell her that I knew about it or was I not supposed to bring it up?"

"Both, you idiot"

"You told him?" She asked looking at the younger woman.

"It was in a moment of weakness" looking towards him. "A moment which I'm now regretting"

Chuckling she looked at the two. "I could've told you that. Castor sucks at keeping his mouth shut"

"I see"

"To be fair, it's not like it's a problem. I mean, you two are besties, right? The best of best friends there is-"

"What's your point?"

"Are you going to let one kiss break up your friendship? Not like it meant anything to you both" shrugging he waved it off. "Oh? Hold on a second?" Glancing between the two of them, he smirked. "It did, didn't it?"

"You don't have to answer him"

"Good, because I wasn't gonna"

"I can see the redness in your cheeks, birdie," he says poking her cheeks. "So does this mean you two are together"

They looked at each other for a brief moment before looking back at him. "It's complicated," they both said simultaneously, stepping away from one another.

"Ah the matters of the heart is always complicated," he tells them while looking around their room. "Since we're all mhm friends and are more comfortable enough with each other, I would like to talk about something that's been on my mind"

"I wouldn't necessarily say that. We're good associates at best" Thalia joked, earning a chuckle and an eye roll from him. "But is it about your brother?"

"It is"

"I'm gonna be honest here," Melaina says getting their attention. "I do not know what I'm supposed to say or do when it comes to comfort for another. At most, I do a what's the mortal word for it? Oh, mediocre. Yeah, I do a mediocre job at cheering Talley up. So I know I won't be of use here to you"

"She does terrible but when the right words come to her, she does amazingly well"

"See. So I'll just go out and see what Poseidon is hiding" Castor grabbed at her wrist stopping her in her tracks.

"Not so fast, you, paranoid demon," He says, letting her go. "I'm serious, I feel hurt actually by Pollux. Like how could he think so low of me?"

"Well.."

"Before you say the truth, you better dress it up in a nice lie"

"You don't make it easy to think or believe you have a good side though. I mean you first got here all you did was annoy me and push my buttons"
