"Who is this guy?" Thalia says holstering herself up on Melaina's shoulders to look at him.
He wasn't a male model but he should have been. The lush, mother lode-gold hair he groomed so carefully had a rippling quality, a sign of his rude health. His only blemish was that he was beetle-browed which have no doubt knitted in frustration.
The aquiline nose he sported complemented his prominent cheekbones. Handsome in an understated way, his basalt jaw and Spartan shoulders spoke of strength. He possessed a latent, leonine power and just from his stance alone he walked with purpose and authority.
Though Thalia could see that his best feature was his entrancing, wayfarer-blue eyes. Sloe shaped, they were shining as bright as the evening stars but she had a feeling they couldn't compare to when they were a-light with joy. To her, they resembled two liquid-blue pools of flashing fire.
"The name is Castor. A pleasure to meet you" He says with a click of his teeth, with his sonorous, rumbling voice.
"Castor? Oh, Castor, as in your former friend?" She asked the girl beside her.
"So you've been talking about me?" He asked her smugly.
"What kind of God is he?"
"No, he's only mortal. It's his twin brother, Pollux, that is immortal"
With a scoff, their attention was back on him. "It should've been me, I should be immortal. But, of course, being the son to Zeus means you have more perks in this life and more"
"Cool, I have a brother? I've always wanted one"
"Oh, wait! You're the new addition to Zeus's demigod children? Well isn't this something" he says eyeing her before settling his eyes on Melaina. "You are like your father" he chuckled.
"You've heard of me?" Thalia says with a smile before spitting out blood. "That was fast"
"Word travels fast when you know the right people around the sliver city"
"Sliver city?"
"He means Olympus" She informed her.
"But yes I am nothing more than just a mortal and nothing less of the word. I love my brother but I'm just the better twin, and should be rewarded for that"
Rolling her eyes with a sigh, Thalia mumbled to herself. "I see, he's another one who's full of himself"
"Why are you here Castor?" Melaina asked dropping their weapons, as she helped an injured Thalia to the porch steps to sit down. "What do you want?" She questioned, crossing her arms over her chest.
"Is that how you treat distant relatives and an old friend?" He questioned, stepping forward but stopped once Achlys and Desdemona growled at him. "Can you please remove your guard dogs? I'm not going to do anything"
"Achlys! Desdemona! Sit" Thalia commanded from the side. Melaina shot her look but didn't question her. "What can we do for you?"
"Ha! No human it's what I can do for you" He says walking past them all going to the top of the porch.
"Don't call me that. I don't like that word" She simply tells him turning sideways looking at him. "Which is funny considering I'm a demigod and you're the only human here"
"Neither here nor there" he waved off hushing her. "I have heard through the grapevine that you two are in search of the God or Goddess responsible for killing your mother. I want in"
"What's it to you?" Melaina questioned eyeing him unsure of his motives. "This is my business, and I don't want anything that you have to offer because there's always a catch with you"
