"When I realized what he was doing, it was too late for her. I called Zeus out for his treachery but he made me see that with Hades, along with his family gone, the prophecy would never be fulfilled"
"Why Hades though?"
"Are you kidding me?" He chuckled. "Uh I don't know maybe because his entire existence has only ever been about chaos and mayhem and oh yeah, death" he argued with her. "Love did not change my brother, slowed him down from taking over Olympus, but didn't change him"
"But it did! I met him and the man I saw was destroyed at not being able to see his kids and losing his wife. Love made him better"
"Love made him better" He mocked. "Oh, grow up, would you? Love is not some powerful thing that can stop all"
"Maybe not to you"
"I can't. I can't do this" he says squeezing the bridge of his nose. "Is she always so damn optimistic about everything?" He asked looking at Castor, who sadly shook his head. "Wow, my Zeus, you're so naïve"
"So all this time you've just been lying to us?"
"Wow, she's not a very fast learner," He says to no one in particular. "Of course, I lied. I lied to everyone about knowing the truth. I lied to my brother for years, but thanks to you and Melinoë, I don't have to anymore. To be honest with you, it was a burden for me.
"You could've stopped him. You could've fought against him"
"Have you not been listening? I DIDN'T HAVE A CHOICE!" Suddenly water had pooled in at their feet, surrounding them. "Whoa, I'm sorry about that, I did not mean to do that"
"There's always a choice.." She says after a moment. "Whether you believe it or not there's always a choice"
"Well then call me selfish" He wore a smug grin. "But ok now that you know the truth I must get rid of you. Such a shame honestly, I rather like you two"
"Wait no you can't. Melinoë will know" Castor spoke after some time.
"What makes you think I'm not already having her taken care of?"
"Why not do it yourself?" Thalia asked struggling against the chain.
"What do you take me for? A monster? I may be bad but I'm not evil. That's my niece. I can't bear the thought of killing family"
"Then allow me"
Suddenly Thalia broke free from her chains springing into action against him. Poseidon stood shocked before his features turned into a sour one as he brought his trident up blocking against her attacks. Thalia swung the chain as if they were nunchucks skillfully trying to fight him off, but with every attack that she made towards him, he blocked her hits. Poseidon laughed at her failed attempts only enraging her more.
He threw up his trident like an offensive lineman blocking a defensive back, but Thalia slipped to the side, and with a swing grabbed at the man's neck with her chain, tugging on it before flipping him, letting him roll onto the floor. Third of a second once contact was made, and Poseidon was on his feet, watching the small woman rush towards him in slow motion as Castor struggled to stand to his feet.
"Your determination is adorable, young one. Ha! My brother made sure you had the best of him" he spoke as Thalia tried to reach for her spear, but Poseidon blocked it. "You are a worthy opponent, but how about we make a deal? I'll spare your life now and let you both live if you turn and go and never come back"
"Sorry, I don't make deals with men who have fish for brains" she spat out to him, letting the electric energy from within going into her chain, before whipping it his way taking his trident away. He stood shocked as she smirked. "I guess you won't be needing this anymore"
Growling he ran towards her, moving too fast for her eyes to register his movements. Coming from the side he grabbed a fist full of her hair, pulling her head back and breaking her nose with his fist. Still holding her hair in one hand, He put his other hand into her crotch and put his shoulder into her and lifted her off the ground and slammed her down into the ground, making her cry out in agony.
She grunted and went limp. When he stood back, he slowly walked away picking up his trident pointing it at her. However, Castor tackled him, a linebacker drilling a quarterback from the blindside, a clean shoulder-to-shoulder hit that arched Poseidon's spine. The trident clattered from his hand and fell to the floor, next to Thalia's head. Castor then got on top of him, punching him with everything he could muster up from within. Getting distracted by Poseidon's laughter, he stopped, allowing Poseidon to get the upper hand. Grabbing both his wrist, he smashed an elbow into the side of Castor's skull, the soft spot high on the temple, throwing him to the side.
"Enough of this!" He screamed out enraged, summoning his trident back into the palm of his hand. "You will not win. I'm a God" He laughed sinisterly, watching as they groaned in pain, trying to fight back. "You can't win this fight"
Standing to her feet, coughing and wheezing, Thalia eyed him. "It's not about winning" placing both hands over her nose she relocated it, making her wince in pain. "I just now only wanna kick your ass," she says, picking up the chain and wrapping it around her hand before grabbing her spear.
"You, demigods, always wanna have a heart," he says in annoyance. "Truthfully, it makes me wanna vomit," He tells her standing in a fighting stance once more.
Grunting she threw the spear at him as a distraction, allowing her to swing the chain at his leg, pulling at it, making him fall to the ground. She then dragged him across the floor, before swinging him towards the wall, slamming his head into it, knocking him out. She then took a moment to gasp for air, as she limped her way towards Castor, helping him up.
"I hate Gods" was all he said as she grabbed him.
"You and me both, buddy" She grunted, trying to hold his weight. "You and me both"
Poseidon struggled to stand to his feet but once he did, he yanked back his right forearm, throwing the pitchfork at them, cutting Thalia's thigh, making her wince.
Castor grabbed the pitchfork from her side, eyeing the man in front of him. Poseidon watched impressively nodding his head.
"You know, I see myself in you," He says stalking around the room, as he put his hands behind his back. Castor stood in front of Thalia, protecting her. "You have some of my best qualities, but you're using it all wrong" he stopped walking. "Here let me teach you" with a wave of his wrist, the spear moved from Castor's grip whacking him in the face, scarring his face.
Castor hissed back as he tried to grab the flowing stick, but swiftly Poseidon moves it to hit him from behind in the back, skillfully controlling it from afar before sending him flying across the room with one final swing.
Summoning the spear back to him, he walked over to Thalia, who was aiding her bleeding thigh. His white glowing eyes, looking down at her, as he held the spear under her chin, smirking at her. Quickly, she stabbed him in the right side of his stomach, crawling backwards, looking up at him. His once prideful smirked went away, as he yanked the small knife from his side, throwing it to the side. His eyes flared white as the water around them poured in.
