They walked the long narrow halls not saying a word to one another while passing by the giant murals of his brothers and sisters. A mural of Hades and Persephone had caught her attention making her come to a stop. Eyeing it she could see the two staring at one another seemingly being in love, making her give out a small weak smile.

"Did your father ever tell you the story of how he met your mother?"

"He fell in love with her at first sight and kidnapped her," She says with a shrug as her voice held no emotion.

"Well yes, he did that. However, Hades confided his secret in Zeus, asking for help, so the two of them concocted a plan to trap her. As she was picking flowers they caused the ground to split underneath her. Persephone then slipped beneath the Earth and he made her his wife. Of course, Persephone was very unhappy, but after much time, she came to love the cold-blooded Hades and lived happily with him. That's when you three were born" He placed a hand on her shoulder.

Glancing at his placed hand before looking at him she shook his hand off her. She averted her gaze back to the mural seeing that they were standing on the bones of the dead while Hades army was in the background. Poseidon seeing her face spoke again.

"You remind me of him. Stubborn, moody, yet very caring about those around you" He says with suggestive eyebrows. "How did you meet Thalia?"

"I saved her from a group of men"

"You take after Persephone" He chuckled. "My fired head brother wouldn't save us even if we were trapped in a burning building. I am sorry, however, for the loss of both your parents, young one" He tells her sympathetically. "If you ever need me I'm here"

"I'm good on my own," She tells him walking away. "I can handle myself and have been doing it for some time now"

"That's not true. I heard Nyx was the one to have kept you and your siblings safe over time. What was she keeping you safe from, however?"

She glanced back over her shoulder to look at him. "What's it to you?"

"I'm just a curious uncle. I want to know you. I want to know you as a person" He reasoned with her keeping up with her strut. "Can you blame me? Here you are with me and yet we don't know each other. It's as if we're strangers"

"Because we are," She says coming to a stop. Poseidon didn't say anything as he stood beside her. "Let's get one thing straight and clear. I don't trust you" Her words and tone were harsh as she stepped forward to him. "I don't trust you, because I don't like you. I don't like you because I don't trust you" She says coming closer. Poseidon was now backed into a wall. "You tell me still that it was my Father who killed my mother, yet I can't seem to believe that. You want us to think that you are this sweet old-"

"Old? I beg your pardon!?" He says shocked.

"But I'm not buying it and I won't buy it. This whole family is so power-hungry and always blinded by selfish greed"

"I am not! Compared to them, I'm the saint"

"You took advantage of Medusa for a petty ploy just to get back at Athena. You are an egotistic man with toxic masculinity. And let's not forget you have the worst temper possible. Hades may have kidnapped my mother, but that was about it. He never once cheated, abused, or manipulated her, he treated her well and gave her respect. If we're being honest with ourselves he was the real Saint" She concluded taking a step back exhaling. "I do not wish to know you and I do not wish for you to know me in return. I just want to know why? And more about this prophecy"

"Very well," He says after a moment, clearing his throat. "It is said, one of our children will kill Zeus and reign fire over Olympus as the new king or queen. We believe that is true so we divided ourselves and committed to not falling in love or having kids"

"Till Hades fell in love and had us" Poseidon nodded. "Zeus has kids ya know. A lot of them might I add"

"All with mortal women, making all his kids demigods, so getting to Olympus is close to impossible for them. And the ones that are gods are in his army on Olympus under his power and control. They know better to not take on their Father" He informs her. "I, myself, indulge in the pleasantries of sex and use what my dear brothers lack as well as mortal men"

"What's that?"

"A condom"

She let out a small laugh before stopping abruptly. Poseidon smiled to himself feeling accomplished.

"A laugh? And from my joke nonetheless. Maybe I do have a chance"

"Don't push your luck. But what I don't get is the murdering loved ones for power"

"What's not to get? You have the ultimate power, you're in control of all gods, you can rule from the highest mount, and no one would ever dare to disobey you, especially if you killed Zeus to get to where you are. Hell, if I weren't afraid I'd do it myself"

"So you all condemned yourselves to a life of misery? Just so the prophecy doesn't come true?"

"It's not a life of misery if you play smart and have the right companions around you"

"..Your companions are fish"

"They are quite the friends for me. Plus, they don't keep up drama. I tell you whether it's humans or Gods, drama is right around the corner" He says as he began to walk off. "But anything else?"

"Was splitting us up apart of the plan or something that came later?"

"I can not answer that. I don't know what the plan originally was if we had all had children. But if I'm being honest, I think Zeus would have preferred our father, your grandfather, method of eating our kids so it wouldn't come to be. But splitting you and your siblings up and having his children under his thumb at all times is a permanent solution for him"

"Doesn't seem fair"

"That's life, is it not? Zeus thought it would be for the best for us all and himself especially. Look at it like this, with Hades and your mom both being dead, so sorry again, by the way, your brother and sister would have no choice but to stay and rule over the underworld for all eternity. Your place was to stay with them by their side but seeing as you're here and asking all kinds of questions. I assume you're on a quest of some sort"

"I have my reasons. Yet I feel as if I'm constantly finding myself in new battles with new secrets coming to light"

"Those who don't want the truth to come to the light tends to do everything in their power to prevent it. But that is all the information I know of"

"I appreciate it"

"Here to help. After all, you are my niece" He says sweetly to her with a grin.

"I still don't trust you," She says walking off and away from him.

Poseidon continued to smile as he stood there, watching till her small figure disappeared behind a wall. Once she was no longer in sight of him, he dropped his smile as he began walking towards a wall, before placing his hand on it, opening a hidden doorway. Walking inside he followed the marble floor till he was faced with a face.

"She's his daughter alright"

"What does she want?"

"She wishes to know who's behind all of her pain and sorrows. She is looking for the one responsible. I think her mind is going to the obvious one here"

"Such a naïve little girl. She does not know the problems, she will awaken if she continues down this path. If she continues with this foolish notion to avenge her family, kill her where she stands. Oh, and her friends too, if they become a problem as well"
