Prologue (Edited)
Things have been really hard for Andrew and his mother since his father had died about a year ago. Everything reminded Andrew of him, everything reminded his mother of his father even himself. He had always looked very much like his father. The accident that took his father's life had been one stupid mistake. Just one drunken truck driver and everything went downhill from there.
---------
A phone rang.
"Andrew pick the call, it might be your dad calling."
"Dad, where are you? You said you would get home earlier today?" Andrew had said, immediately he picked the call.
"Is this Mr. Powers' wife?
"No, I'm his son. Is anything the matter? Why are you with my dad's phone?" Andrew asked as he started panicking.
"Your father was just involved in an accident, he has been rushed to City Hospital". The stranger answered. The phone fell out of Andrew's hands and split open.
"Andrew what is it?"

PRESENT
General P.O.V (Andrew)
"Andrew get up or you'll be late for school." Andrew's mother, Bridget shouted from the kitchen.
Andrew groaned and stretched on the bed before slowly doing his morning routine. Deciding to go with a Japanese flair, he decided to wear a red and black kimono, passing his ankles. It had a shiny golden dragon at the back and a red and black sash. He tied his long dark blue hair into a man bun and slipped in a smooth, long, brown stick into the side of the bun, bringing it through the other end. He tied a tiny, shiny bell at the end of his bun. A pair of golden brown sandals and his feet looked awesome. He applied a little mascara to make his lashes longer, not that they weren't naturally long, a little eyeliner and a quick pink lip balm rub and he was good-to-go. One final look at his mirror, he concluded he was ready to go.
"Andrew, how long does one take to get ready?" His mom asked as she heard Andrew coming out of his room but Andrew rolled his eyes and told her she wouldn't understand.
"You look fabulous by the way, feeling Japan-y today?"
"Oh my god, mom. Please don't say that again". Andrew said in his slightly feminine voice. His mom just rolled her eyes and said,
"Whatever, be sure to come back early. I have something very important to tell you." His mother said and Andrew muttered small okay pretending not to notice the dark circles under his mother's eye, grabbing his car keys, twirling it round his index finger and stepped out the door.
"Hey, wait. Andrew!" His mom shouted from inside the house. "Won't you have breakfast?" She asked, as she stepped out of the house into the lawn.
"No. Am not really feeling hungry". He answered. The look on his mom's face said she disagreed, so he quickly added, "I'll make sure I get something to eat at school, am already running late. See you later. Bye". He said quickly as he stepped into his car.
He started the car and drove very slowly and carefully to school mainly because of the trauma coming from his dad's accident and also because he wanted to be late to school. I mean, who doesn't like a great entry? And he was looking amazing. He carefully parked his car and slipped out and was, met face-to-face with his favorite teacher.
"Hey teach. How're you doing this fine Friday morning? You shouldn't be out in the sun, I mean look at your skin, we don't want to lose that perfect skin glow now, would we?" he greeted and smiled slyly. She blushed. He cheered inwardly. Works every time.
"Wow, you're looking amazing. Of course I wouldn't want to lose the healthy skin you helped me build." She said, and then added, "Run along now, you don't want old Mrs. Higgs to get you now, would we?" Andrew smiled and pressed a kiss to her cheeks. Waving her farewell her farewell, he strutted to his first class, of which he was, of course, twenty minutes late. "It could have been worse", he said to himself as he pushed the door of his class open.
"Hello, Mr. Chris, how're you?" he greeted the older man, standing in front of the classroom teaching English, flashing him a killer smile. The older man snorted and answered,
"Mr. Powers, how nice of you to join us on this fine day, I was almost missing you". Andrew winced but immediately covered it with a smile and replied,
"Awn, don't be harsh. I am late because of my mother; she's not feeling fine. She practically forced me out of the house, am so worried." He lied through his teeth and put on a sad and pale look. He knew the teacher had a strong thing for his mother and that he also pitied her for the loss of her husband. He smiled when he heard the teacher say, "Okay, you can go to your seat, we haven't gone that far in today's lesson. We are having a quick look at Comprehension today." He smiled and nodded gratefully as he took his seat at the middle of the room, next to his best friend.
"And you're looking gorgeous today, any special occasion?" His best friend asked, batting her long, fixed lashes at him. He snorted and answered,
"What do you mean? I look gorgeous every other day except when am not feeling it and today I was feeling it." She rolled her eyes and chuckled at her best friend's answer as they both faced the teacher for the rest of the class.
The day went smoothly, Andrew was invited to a party as he was always the light of the party but he declined remembering that his mom had something important to tell him. 'I wonder what she wants to talk about'. He entered his car and drove home carefully.
He let his mom know he was home and climbed up the stars to his room to take a nice shower. His mom called him down for dinner and he went down the stairs to the kitchen to grab a glass of water. His mother came in to the kitchen and they both went to the dining table to eat.
"So mom, what did you want to talk about?" Andrew asked as he stuffed his mouth with the delicious lasagna on his plate.
"We're moving". He mother said not too subtlety, without lifting her eyes from her plate.
And he choked.
