Chapter Two (Edited)
General P.O.V (Andrew)
Andrew pulled out and stretched out his folded schedule and saw that he had Advanced Biology next. His personal favourite. He has always wanted to do Marine Biology when he grows up. Andrew has always been a very intelligent student who always aced all his subjects. He was a certified nerd.
He unfolded the next piece of paper in his hands, his map, and it showed him that the lab was up the stairs and three rooms to the right. Right after the storage room, where the chemical and biological specimens are kept. 'Looks like all the labs are on the same floor'. He thought happily because the next subject he had before lunch was chemistry. And you guessed it, also an advanced class.
His eyes scanned through the map the second time and he saw another biology lab just up ahead, he was confused. He decided to ask around, to know which one he was meant to go. 'Ugh, am going to be late again'. He whined mentally. He stopped a student who looked like a junior and asked him for directions. He should really have come for that tour.
"Hello, am kinda new here and my map shows me two labs and I don't know the one to go to for my next class. Can you please help me?" he asked, the younger looking boy, smiling unsurely.
"Yes, let me see the map". The boy said with a genuine smile. Andrew gave him the map in his hand and the boys eyes darted through the map and he said,
"See here, there are three labs for each of the core science subjects. We have one for the advanced class, middle class and beginners. Which class are you going to?" the boy explained and asked.
"Am going to the advanced class". Andrew said, wearing a proud smile on his face. He was happy that they had separated the class. He hated staying in the same class with dummies that pride themselves in knowing all when they knew nothing at all. 'No wonder this school is one of the best. If it's like this here, I wonder how it is at Fox High Academy'. Andrew thought in awe.
"Wow, so you're one of the smart kids. I also attend advanced classes but for juniors. I'll get to class now". Andrew thanked the boy and waved him bye. 'That's one good kid'.
He climbed up the stairs, receiving stares from the students as he walked by. 'Haven't they seen new student before or is there something on my face?' He thought to himself as he continued climbing and avoiding the eyes of the students there. 'Weird students'.
He got to Bo class early seeing as only a few students were there and the teacher was nowhere to be found. His eyes scanned through the class for a place to sit when he saw his newly made friend, Ruby. Their eyes met and he flashed her one of his dashing smiles and walked towards her. He sat beside her after making sure that she didn't have anyone supposed to sit there. He brought out his notebook and pen, setting it on the desk before him, and then facing the brown-eyed beauty.
"Hi". She greeted as she brushed her strawberry-blonde bangs off her face, tucking them behind her ears.
"Hi". Andrew greeted back, his smile still on his face.
"I'm surprised to see you in this class. This is Advanced Biology class". She said, but seeing the curious look on Andrew's face, an eyebrow raised as if waiting for her to finish or explain herself, she quickly added, stumbling over her words and rambling, "No, no, no, that's not what I meant at all, this class is normally for the very bright students.... Not that I'm saying that you're not bright. I mean, am surprised that you got into the advanced class seeing as you are new and this class is very hard and arrgh... am going to keep quiet now". She looked quite embarrassed, with a faint hue of red tainting her pale cheeks.
