Chapter Eight (Edited)
General P.O.V (Andrew)
The Part 1: Opening
The very next day, the group of friends met at the school.
"Hey guys, plan still in motion?" Adrian asked and they all nodded and went to their various classes. Andrew's history class didn't come up until fourth period and he was cramped up with excitement, not too much though. He didn't want to jinx it.
He entered the class with a certain bounce to his step, he was ecstatic and his body was having a hard time keeping it all in. his heart pounded at probably 700 miles per hour but he couldn't be sure. He placed a hard to his chest and prayed that no one else could hear it, 'cause the sound in his ears were deafening.
The teacher entered and Andrew immediately perked up. And as luck would have it, the teacher was teaching about the history of Vampville.
"Vampville as out small city is called was founded many years ago, when and by who is still unknown. The town is said to have been founded by vampires, hence the name. But no one knows for sure, but according to paranormal expert Jace....."
Andrew's brain stopped listening as that wasn't what he wanted to hear. The teacher rambled on and on about Vampville and its kings and Andrew immediately sat up straight in his seat, not even knowing why.
"Prince Misfa or should I say, King Misfa was one of Vampville's previous kings. Legend has it that he wasn't crowned king. As the first son of the king then, he was meant to be the king and follow in his father's evil footsteps but he didn't instead he defeated his father, but died for the cause. The people, showing their appreciation decided to give him the title of king. There is only one available portrait of this king and it's an oil painting", the teacher said as she brought out a big portrait from the back of her table.
"This is King Misfa". She concluded, raising the portrait up and showing the class. Andrew's breath got caught in his throat as he looked at his exact replica, excluding the fiery, red hair. 'It's him'.
Andrew could see why no one has noticed that he looked exactly like the picture, it was strange but he decided not to think about it. This opened new possibilities. There was no way he looked exactly like someone and that person wasn't part of his family. 'Something is fishy'.
After history was lunch break and Andrew fast-walked toward the senior cafeteria. He had to tell his friends of his recent findings. When he got there, they were already seated at their table, waiting for him to arrive.
When he got to the table, they all looked at him hopefully, curiosity gleaming on their faces.
"He is the one". He deadpanned and the whole table gasped.
"And the investigation continues". Malachi said. Andrew noticed that Malachi hasn't said a word since he started his tale. He wondered what was wrong. He decided to call him out on it.
"Malachi, this is the only sentence I've heard you say since I told you guys about the dreams and experiences. What's wrong? Or do you have anything to tell us?" Malachi gasped, and then used a cough to cover his surprise. He looked around the cafeteria as if, trying to check if anyone apart from them was listening.
"I think, I think I have an idea what maybe happening. Meet me at my house, all of you". Then he left them all gaping at him, wide-eyed and walked out of the cafeteria.
"Shit just got real". Adrian said.
As soon as Adrian said that, the whole cafeteria went dark and thunder rumbled and lightening flashed. All this happened inside the huge eating hall. No one could see each other, but students were shouting.
