The Part 2: The Reading

'How It All Began'.

"Long time ago, the gods decided to have a 'field day' and created a lot of creatures that had powers and dumped them on Earth. These creatures were given intellect to do whatever they wanted and the gods gave them a certain stone to keep them all in peace and harmony with each other.

The creatures that were alike stayed with their kind and formed some colonies. Soon they started to spread out. The vampires settled on a land they like and started developing on it. The werewolves and like so, all of them divided and stayed in their own lands, building and developing. The only ones not part of it were the merfolks who had the seas and oceans to themselves.

Since the vampires were the first to evolve in both intellect and power, the stone was placed in their care, for safe keeping.

This stone wasn't only meant to keep the supernatural creatures together but it also has unbelievable power but none of the creatures minded and they all lived in harmony".

"I still don't get where this is taking us?" Ruby asked, getting quite impatient.

"It says 'how it all began?' shouldn't that be a giveaway?" Adrian asked like Ruby was asking a stupid question

"It's telling us a story, trying to glide us into the story". Jerry said, offering his opinion.

"Does nobody understand that this book is saying that vampires and werewolves are real? And other creatures too?!" Ryan asked, a little scared at the discovery.

"Can you guys shut up and let me continue?" Andrew said with unmasked irritation and no amusement. This was not the time for bickering. He flipped the pages and continued his reading as his friends had quieted down.

'The Start Of The Great Evil'.

"It came to the time of King Misto; he was always evil at heart'.

"Wait, wait, and wait, King Misto? What kinda name is that?" Adrian asked as they all started laughed. When they regained themselves, Andrew began reading again,

'Since he was a little prince, he had been very greedy, very wicked and wanted everything he knew very well he couldn't have. Including the stone.

The stone corrupts anyone who has impure thoughts about it, it gives them unimaginable power but it will also lead to their downfall. It turns vampires feral, turns wolves rogue, makes witches go mad, makes fairies to grow insatiable with nature to the point of destroying it and causes merfolks to lose sight of all things good.

One thing all these creatures have in common after coming in contact with the stone is that they kill and destroy all that is in their way.

The king didn't want to listen to the teachings of his parents, the council of his elder nor the cries of his people. He wanted to be above all supernatural beings. He wanted to be the god of them all and the only way to accomplish that is with the stone.

The King planned to take the stone and embed it into his being, so as to become one with it during the festival of Beginnings. The day all supernatural creatures come together to celebrate the day, they were created. He planned to begin his take over at the festival. All has being planned, but during the time for him to become one with the stone. It was not in its usual place. It has gone missing'.

"Thank heavens for that". Ruby chimmed in. Andrew nodded and continued with the reading.

'The king went feral with anger, killing everything and everyone on his path. He sent soldiers to search high and low but it couldn't be found. The stone couldn't have disappeared. It appeared that someone had taken it and that someone was the red-haired prince, Misfa'.
