Peters pov:

Fuck it's been a hard day. School was a pain in my ass, than god I graduate in a few weeks. Customers where I work would never stop complaining and all I wanted to do is have a nice smoke outside then sleep. Just sleep sleep sleep until another day of dread.

I walk into the compound for a quick visit to tony and then rest. I live jn my own apartment a few blocks away. It's better than what May and I had when she was alive.

I walk into the lab to see Tony there working on something. Steve is crashed out in the lounge and Bruce is passed out with his head on the table next to Tony.

"Hey Tony" I say

Tony looks up and smiles

"Hey kiddo"

After working with him for a while I can't keep resisting the urge to have a drag.

"Hey imma be in the roof for a few I need some fresh air" I tell Tony.

"Alright kid, don't take to long j need your help."

When I get to the roof I left a big sigh escape.

"Finally a nice smoke break" I mutter.

I take out a cigarette from its packet and light it. Inhaling that smoke made it feel like everything was just lifted off my shoulders. I blow out and just admire the view for a while.

Tony's pov:

I wonder what's taking the kid so long. He's been out there for like half an hour?

"Friday bring out the from the roof" I ask

"Certainly sir"

The footage comes up and gives me a. Clear view of peter. He's smoking. Peter fucking Parker is a smoker. Not in my watch he's not.

I ask Friday to take me to the room and once I get there a feeling of anxiety washes over me. Not many people know but Peter is a very, very good verbal fighter. He can easily hurt people with words but he keeps it to himself mostly so he has sorta like a secret weapon. I calm myself down and swing the door open dramatically.

"So we're smoking now?"

"It's just a cigarette and It cannot be that bad?" He said turning away from me.

"Peter, you should know that they're bad for you!"

"It's just a cigarette like you always used to do?"

"I was different then, I don't need them to be cool!" I shout.

"I don't smoke too be cool Tony." He answers, no phased

"Yeah? Then why the fuck do you do it!"

"AS A FUCKING STRESS RELIEVER"

"PETER THERE ARE MORE WAYS TO RELIEVE STRESS SMOKING JS A BAD ONE!"

"ITs juSt a ciGarEttE" tony mocks

"Don't mock me"

"It's harms your lungs that you need for Spider-Man, you can't be Spider-Man huffing and puffing like you're being strangled."

"We'll it's one 3 times a week, so there's not much of a chance" peter says smugly

"It's 3 cigarettes a week? It will soon be OnLy tEn"

"Tony can't you trust Me? When i want to stop I can!"

"It's still not good for you" Tony says softer

"Maybe, but is it worth it if we fight?"

"I don't know, is it?"

"It's just a cigarette that I got from a corner store."

"We'll the guy who sold it to you is gonna get a smack and I'm gonna give you three" He said sternly

"It's just a cigarette and I've only been smoking for a few months"

"It will make you sick"

"Yeah we'll there's not much of a chance"

Peter sighs.

"It's just a cigarette and I'm sorry that I did it, but Tony can you trust me when I want to stop I can!" Peter said with his voice getting louder.

"Fine fine" tony surrendered

"But I don't want you lying to me, just tell me you wanna have a smoke instead okay?"

"Deal" peter said.

He put out the cigarette at the bottom of his shoe and flicked it off the roof.

Peter and tony go back to the common room to see all the avengers looking at the elevator with crossed arms.

"So, you're smoking now?" Nat said

"Oh my fucking god I am not getting this lecture again. Goodbye"

Peter walked to the elevator and went back to his apartment. He opened the door and flipped in his bed. It's not exactly how he thought his day would end, but it's better than most. With that peter let himself fall asleep.

Ik Ik it's not the best but I tried. I haven't been motivated lately and I have Covid again from a stupid ass kid that knew he had Covid form my school yet still came 🙄. Anyways sorry guys.
