The seed has been planted, and in the next birth of daylight, it will be the last time he shall see the sun. The garden shall grow.

The young, freckled turtle laid in his bed, with his face crinkled in fear as soft whimpers and groans escape him. Mikey's baby blue orbs shot open as he let out a quiet gasp and pants of breath. Mikey then sat up from his bed, looked around and sighed in relief. "It was just another nightmare..." he thought. Mikey then threw the comforter off from his feet, got out of his bed, out of his room and headed towards the kitchen to drown his nightmares with a midnight snack.

As he walked down the hall, Mikey looked at Alex's bedroom door, which was still closed from this morning. The youngest turtle looked down sadly, remembering the last time Alex's door was open, which was that morning. Mikey then stopped on his tracks and looked back at Alex's bedroom door. "Just a little peek, Mikey," he thought. "It wouldn't kill you, right?"

Mikey then walked back towards Alex's door and gently gripped the doorknob. He let out a quiet sigh, turned the knob and pushed Alex's door open. "Alex...?" Mikey asked quietly in a shaken voice. He peeked in and looked around; the entire room was empty. "Alex? Are you in here?" Mikey pushed the door open more and stepped inside. "Alex?" he quietly asked.

"Are you invisible again?" Mikey continued to look around, but something off caught his eye. He walked over to the side of Alex's bed, where his third oldest brother usually keeps his katana blade. Mikey's eyes widen as he saw that the blade was missing, which could only mean one thing. "Guys! Guys, wake up!" the lime-green turtle cried out. Moments later, the other three turtles and Splinter, hearing Mikey's shouts from their bedrooms, rush over to Alex's room.

"What is it, Michelangelo?" Splinter asked his youngest son. "Why did you have to wake us up this late at night...?" Raph mumbled grumpily. Donnie peered into the room, "Wait, where's Alex?" he asked out loud. "He's gone, Donnie!" Mikey shouted, clearly distressed.

"Gone? Where could he have gone to?" Raph wondered out loud. Leo thought about it a moment and his eyes widen, remembering his last conversation with Alex. "Oh man... He went out to look for Karai..." The other Turtles and Splinter looked over at Leo, stunned at his theory. "He went out to do what?!" Raph exclaimed. Splinter let out a quiet huff from his nostrils. "I told him to not go to the surface alone," he said. "It would put him at risk of being controlled by the Shredder yet again." Splinter flattened his ears, a clear glimpse of worry in his facial and body language.

"It's not your fault, Sensei." Leo said. "I shouldn't have argued with him this morning, and he wouldn't have blasted me and snuck out of the Lair." he looked down, feeling guilty. Splinter rested a hand on his eldest son's shoulder. "It is not your fault, Leonardo," he said consolingly. "But we must find your brother before something happens to him." Splinter turned to face his other sons. Donnie then pulled out his tPhone. "I can track him through his tPhone signal." he said as he adjusted to certain settings on his cellular device.

The red-brown eyed terrapin studied his phone screen. "That's weird," he said. "What is it, genius?" Raph asked. "It looks Alex is headed back towards the Lair." Donnie stated as he showed his tPhone screen to his brothers. "Oh man, I just hope he's not leading a bunch of Foot soldiers down here and ambush us!" Mikey exclaimed in fear. The three Turtles looked over at Mikey, stunned and angry, but also scared of the thought that Shredder may have brainwashed Alex yet again.

"I just made it worse, didn't I...?" Mikey sadly asked as he lowered his head into his shell. Leo let out a quiet sigh. "We have to go find Alex right now," he said. "He could be in serious danger." Raph, Donnie and Mikey all nodded in agreement. "Be careful, my sons," Splinter said to the four Turtles. "I do not wish to lose any of you to the Shredder." Leo looked back at Splinter. "We'll be careful, Father." he said as he disappeared into his room.
