Everything was thrown into chaos. The weekend spent, my days were mixed up and I'm getting a call from Axel Sheridan telling me he's got some brilliant plan to find out what Valerie and Rhett were up to and he needed me there to help him with Lenny.

This was the last thing I wanted to do.

I sat up in the bed and stared around. I was back at home, my home, though I remember reluctantly wanting to return to this damn place. It meant not being with Jeremy, or with anybody, but I supposed there was some sense of recovery needed after the weekend that had just occurred.

I just inhale and grab my phone dialing Jeremy's number. He picks up, his voice sounding rather cheerful for this time of morning. "Morning!"

I groan. "Yeah, I just woke up to a call from Axel Sheridan. He's got some diabolical plan to catch Valerie and Rhett in action I guess? I'm going to be a little late today, if I can even manage to come in at all today."

"No problem. I'd feel better knowing that something is being done about Valerie. Anything will help my case really. Do what you got to do, keep me updated though." He replied.

"I will." I say and before I hang up he says my name. "Jeremy?"

"Have I told you lately that I love you?"

I smile. "I love you too." I reply and we both hang up and I slowly crawl out of the bed and into the shower.

Once I'm ready, I take off and head straight for Axel's house to hear about this brilliant scheme they have to get Valerie. I pull into the driveway and kill the engine and hop out, grabbing my suitcase. Axel is waiting against his car for me so I hit the button on my fob and lock the car and walk over to him.

"Thanks for helping me out with this." He says and puts his hands lazily in his pockets.

"You want to tell me what the hell is going on? I get sounding vague on the phone but what exactly am I getting myself into here?"

"Well," Axel scratched the back of his head and looked at the ground. "I need your help to convince Lenny that we're going to get a confession from Rhett. It's the only way that we can get anything on any of them. He's still in love with her and she can play that to our advantage."

I scoff and drop my head. "Shit." I look up at him and shake my head. "You want her to confess a fake love to him so that you can get your damn confession? Axel, I don't think you understand what could easily happen if he finds out what she is up to. Not to mention, if we don't have that on record, then the case is pretty much done." Axel just looks at me. "Oh, Christ. You want her wired." I put my hand on my hip. "This is wrong. And illegal, Axel. I can only help so much before I'm dipping my hands in tar for you. If he doesn't confess and finds out that she's wired, you are not only risking her life but your career as well. Not to mention mine for aiding and abetting."

"I know. But this is the only chance we got and I'm willing to take that chance but I need you on board with me."

I sigh but nod. "Yeah. Okay."

"Okay. Let me go talk to her first, then we'll bring you in." I nod again and we both walk into the house.

I sit in the living room while Axel speaks with Lenny about this. He's very vague from what I can decipher through the muffled voices and I know right away that she isn't going to be too thrilled once she sees that I'm in on this. I was supposed to be helping her with all of this, not working against her and putting her in danger. Then again, that's already happened so we all know that is thrown out the damn window.

Axel walks over and nods for me so I get up from the couch and walk into the kitchen and I smiled at Lenny and sit down. "You're in on this?" I shrug. She scoffs and sits back.

"Baby, just hear us out. Okay. We need a confession from Rhett. Anything that ties him to Valerie, to what happened to you, whatever anything that goes against what we're trying to do here." Axel pleads with her. She doesn't say anything, but instead grabs a napkin and starts tearing it apart while she stays silent. I can practically hear her thoughts, and I know she's freaking out.

"Look, all you would need to do, is convince Rhett that you've had an epiphany. That you can't live without him. Get him back in your crutches." I swallow and look at Axel.

"Knowing his current obsession with you, he should cave. We can have you wired, have his apartment and vehicle bugged, and we can go from there." Axel told her.

Lenny looked up at him. "Is this legal?"

I inhaled. "Legal? No. But will it hold up in court if he confesses his intentions or plans? Yes. You just need to act the part, Lenny, okay? I've known you a long ass time. I know you can do this." I assure her.

"I have to pull out all stops?" She asks and looks at Axel.

            "All stops." He replies.

            "Including..." She stops.

"Hopefully, it won't come to that." Axel says and he grows tense. "But we really need him and everyone else in jail, Lenny, so yes even that." They stare at each other for a moment. If I had a knife right now I could cut the tension with it.

            "Okay." She says finally.

"Great!" I pulled up my suit case and plopped it on the table.

"Let's get started." Axel said and walks over to join us.

When I was finished with Axel and Lenny I went back home to get ready for work. I quickly changed into my pant suit and heels and made my way out of the house and towards the office making sure to call Jeremy and let him know that I was going to be in soon. When I arrive at the building, I park in my usual spot and make my way inside.

I grab a coffee quickly from the vendor and then make my way towards the office. I stop at Opal's desk and she ignores me. "Opal." I say.

"Nope." She replies and continues looking at some papers that I know she isn't really reading.

            "My office please."

            "I'm good." She snaps.

I just laugh. "Get your ass in my office now. I got news."

"Does it involve Randy or Jeremy?"

"Both!" I call back walking away to my office and she quickly hops up and rushes to my door and walks in when I hold the door open for her then plops on my couch and stares. "Randy left me." I say as I walk around my desk to my seat.

"Seriously?" Her eyes got wide. "What the fuck happened?"

"Apparently, seeing me and Jeremy dance together was enough for him to realize that something had happened between Jeremy and I. He got mad, took the ring and left." I told her and leaned back in my seat.

            "So what happened after that?"

"I spent the weekend in a hotel with Jeremy. Pretty sure I would have conceived this weekend if it weren't for the fact that we used protection." Opal just laughs and shakes her head at me. "Also, I got a call from Axel Sheridan this morning. I had to help him get Lenny to agree to get a confession out of Rhett. We're going to wire her and bug his apartment and car and once we get what we need, he will then be put away and so will Valerie Mason." I told her.

"Good that bitch deserves to be put away. Do you know anything more about the divorce stuff?"

I shake my head. "No. Nothing yet. She's pushing this as long as possible. But I know something is going to happen soon. I can feel it." I told her. She leans back against the couch and I just sigh.
