"Yeah, so like last year when there was that huge pink comet over Sunnydale, that was me. Boy oh boy, was Giles in for a surprise," Kitty said, chuckling. "He cleaned his glasses for like thirty minutes straight once I arrived."

Kitty was sitting at a picnic table before classes began. She was with Oz, both waiting for the rest of the gang to arrive. While they waited, she explained the whole Cupid thing.

"So a banished Cupid sent to earth as punishment for misusing your love magic?" Oz summarized, grinning. "Bitchin."

"Totally bitchin'!" she agreed.

"And it feels nice knowing that I'm not the only not-human now," he added.

Two weeks ago, Oz's teething nephew bit him — long story short, said nephew was a werewolf, and now, so was Oz. Other developments from that week included both Cordelia and Xander as well as Willow and Oz going public with their relationships. Most of the gossip around school, admittedly, wasn't about Willow and Oz.

"So, do you, like, get distracted by squeaky toys and squirrels?" Kitty asked, wanting to know more.

Oz thought for a moment. "No more than usual. Do you have to, like, wash your wings? Like hair?"

"I've only gotta wash them if they get something on them. But I brush them every night or they get kinda uncomfy," she explained. "Can you smell stuff better?"

"Totally — don't recommend it, though. The locker room is extra rank. Do the wings just — like, how do they work with your clothes?"

"I don't know. I mean, they're solid and you can't just put your hands through them like a ghost, though they kinda just pass through my shirts without ripping them when they show up," she said, frowning. "It doesn't really make sense to me. I prefer to simply not think."

"About the wings? Or, like, in general?" Oz asked, leaning his elbows on the table.

"Yes," Kitty answered, nodding.

"Yeah," he said, nodding as well. "I feel that vibe."

Oz and Kitty's round of Cupid—werewolf-twenty-questions was put on hold when Oz spotted a familiar swimmer coming over to them. With a very subtle nod, he let Kitty know to check over her shoulder.
