Her giant BF . . . F?

Chapter 4- Giant Suprise?

Nellie was still inside the house thirty minutes later. And eventually Colton left to go downstairs for dinner. He didn’t want to disturb Nellie if she had been sleeping.

                After dinner Colton returned to his room with a tiny plate that held Nellies crumb size portions. He set the plate that was about the size of a quarter and placed it right in front of the small from door of her house.

                Colton decided to take a peak and he lifted the roof up to see inside. Nellie was still lying there asleep on her bed as he’d assumed she was earlier.  Lowering the roof back down silently Colton stood up to his full height.

                He concentrated really hard like he’d practiced. And then slowly but surely he shrank down to human size. It was a new discovery amongst the giants. They could make themselves shrink but they stayed proportional to their original body frame.

                Even at his smallest he was still taller than average for anyone human size or as a giant. He walked to the front door of her house and picked up her plate.

                The door didn’t have a lock so he just opening it and walked in. he set the food on the kitchen table and then looked inside her bedroom the door was left open.

She hadn’t even gotten under the covers he noticed.  He walked over to the side she had collapsed down on and looked down at her. He didn’t want to wake her but with each passing second her food would be getting colder and he didn’t want that. He reached his now human size hand out and brought it down on her shoulder. The second he made contact though she wiggled around and rolled over on her back.

“Daddy?” she looked up sleepily at him for a second before her face became pain stricken by her memories and then her expression turned to shock, “Who are you? Get out!!” she wrapped the blanket around herself and began to make shooing motions at him with her hands.

“Oh, sorry, I just brought you dinner.” Colton then started to retreat out of her room and walked through her door.

“Wait, Colton? Is that you?!” he stopped in his tracks and spun around on his heels and then spread his hands wide and wiggled them as he said, “TaaahhDaaaaaaa!”

“HOW CAN YOU DO THAT?!” she quickly rose out of her bed her hair slightly messy and ran up to him stopping just a foot short.

She reached her hands out and started to touch him. She started at his face which was still much higher than hers and he smiled down at her curious face and let her roam his body with her hands. When she got down to his stomach he blushed as she seemed to go over every one of his abs.

She didn’t seem embarrassed at all though just extremely curious. When she finished his stomach she moved her hands onto his broad shoulders and traced his long lean arms down to his hands.

At his hands he just grabbed them and held them. His engulfed hers but only like an adult human holding a child’s hands. He clasped his left hand tight around hers and then they held their right hands together palms comparing the size.

“Wow . . .” her eyes were large and round with curiosity.

All the while Colton stayed still as a statue letting her do whatever she wanted. All he did was smile down at his best friend.

“Colton!” she yelled in excitement and then dropping both of his hands she jumped up and tackled him in a hug. He easily caught her weight and hugged her close in a bear hug. “Oh my god! Colton, it’s you! How is this possible?!” she pulled her head back now that it was eyelevel with his and waited for an answer.

“It was a new scientific discovery. We’ve all been capable of it but it has to be taught to us. I took the class last year at school when they started a program to teach the younger generation how to do it.”

“How long can you stay like this?”

“Well honestly I don’t know. I’ve never tried sleeping this size. To be honest I don’t really like it. I feel like a- a”

“Human?” he smirked at me and I rolled my eyes. “Well I like it this way. So you’re the only one in your family who can do this?”

“Yeah, I’m trying to teach my parents but it becomes harder to learn as you age and Owen is too young.”

She relaxed her hug on him and then put her hands around his thick ropes of muscle covered arms. But Colton didn’t really notice and he held on tight.

“So dinner?” she asked.

“Oh yeah,” he let her go and she dropped the foot to the ground and looked down at her. “I left it on the table you can probably heat it up a bit in the microwave but it’s probably fine.”

“Will you stay with me while I eat?”

“Yeah, sure, whatever you want.” He took a seat next to hers at the small table and watched her stick the plate into the microwave. Now that he was human size he saw that it was actually quite a substantial amount of food. He could probably eat twice that amount but that was mostly due to his teenage hunger more than anything else.

She set the microwave to reheat and then walked up behind Colton in his chair. She wrapped her arms around his shoulder and leaned in her face touching his. “Remember when we were younger and we’d talk about all the things we’d do together if we were the same height? It’s like it finally happened.”

“Yeah I know. But really Nellie I don’t know how long I can stay like this. I’ll stay small as long as you want me too but after you’re done eating I’d rather get out of your house before I start to grow and then crush it.”

She pulled back and sat down next to him in a slump. “I know. . .” she sighed.

He reached his arm up behind her and started to rub her spine.

“Can I tell you something?”

He looked at her and replied, “Anything.”

She lowered her head onto her folded arms and turned it on his side to look at me. “You were the only one I was ever comfortable around. When we were younger and you’d leave I’d be terrified if your little brother came up to me or your mom and dad or any giant for that matter. But when you were by my side I felt safe and even when I was afraid I tried to hide it from you.”

“Ha-ha I know.”

Her head shot up and she screeched, “you knew?!”

He laughed at her slightly and continued to rub her back.

“Of course I knew you were always asking me to stay with you. I remember quite a few times when me simply leaving to go to the bathroom left you begging me to stay. I didn’t mind or anything. But I did know. When I was younger I felt like a super hero and it was my job to protect you.”

Just then the microwave beeped and she got up to go get it. After she brought it over to the table she went to go look for a glass to put water in and a fork. After opening multiple doors and drawers she found them and returned to the table. A bite was taken out of her roll of bread.

“Colton!” she whacked him on the head and rolled her eyes.

“What? I was hungry.” He swallowed and smirked at her.

“But didn’t you JUST eat?”

“I’m a growing boy you can’t keep a growing boy starved. It’s unhealthy.”

They sat in silence while she ate. But it was a comfortable silence. She was just about to put her last bit of roll in between her lips when there were sudden rumbles as someone entered Colton’s room. The whole house quivered and Nellie dropped her roll onto her plate to grip the table. It was like a huge earthquake. It finally stopped only to be replaced by a small boy’s voice asking, “Nellie, are you in there?”

But before she could reply the roof came up.
