There was a long and comfortable silence after their kiss; they just smiled at each other happily. Colton still held Nellie. Her weight was like nothing so he didn’t lose feeling anywhere. And even if he did he would’ve ignored the tingling in his limbs just to keep the moment special.

“Colton!” Mrs. H’s voice rung out loud and clear outside of his bedroom. In a flash Colton had jumped off his bed and started to grow taller, midair, until his feet touched the ground and he continued to grow taller until he was at his normal height. Nellie could’ve sworn it happened in the blink of an eye. One minute he was holding her in his strong loving arms and the next he had dropped her and jumped out of his bed.

Not a split second later though did his bedroom door open. “Colton,” said his mother as she looked at him and then looked down to notice Nellie on his bed. “Oh, hello Nellie. How is your arm?”

“Its fine now, thank you ma’am.”

“Oh that is lovely to hear, and please, call me Delilah. But anyway I came to tell you guys that dinner is ready. Come and eat.”

She smiled warmly at them before closing the door and going down stair. Before Nellie was sort of frightened by the giant beautiful woman. But that was just her angry mom to son side that she’d seen. Whenever she talked to Nellie she was polite and sweet. The more she tried to look past her size she saw an amazing woman an amazing mother to her sons.

Nellie couldn’t wait to have a nice long girl chat with her. She could tell by the way Colton’s mo- Delilah did her hair and makeup that she was “That Kind of Girl” the type that worried about their appearance and loved to talk about girly stuff. Nellie wasn’t a total girly girl but it had been a while since she had had a good spa day or just a simple lady chat.

Colton was so easy to talk to . . . but she didn’t want to go talking to him about makeup, what she looked for in a guy, or when it was that time of the month.

Suddenly Nellie shook her head. Did giants even have a ‘that time of the month’? She hadn’t yet started her cycle to womanhood the last time she was here, so she didn’t even know about it.

‘That is defiantly a lady chat question,’ Nellie thought to herself.

Colton had gotten down on his knees by the bed and was looking at Nellie, with curiosity in his brow. She hadn’t noticed him, but seemed to be having an animated conversation with herself in her head. It was funny to watch but he didn’t laugh, just smiled.

After adding a few more questions to the Lady Chat category Nellie realized it was very quiet. Tuning herself back to her surroundings she saw Colton staring at her. She hated being stared at, it felt like people were scrutinizing her every detail.

“What are you looking at?” she stood and walked to the edge of the bed, stopping just a foot short.

“If I just say nothing would you believe me?”

She brought her hand to her chin and started to stroke her imaginary beard, thoughtfully. Then she nodded and spoke with a strange accent Colton didn’t recognize, “yes, young grasshopper, I would believe you.”

His confusion grew worse as he said, “okay . . . good. I heard yes, that’s all I wanted.” He started to reach for Nellie but just as he was about to grasp her tiny body in his fist he stopped. His hand then grew flat and he held it out on the bed in front of her. “I’m sorry for grabbing you so much. It is just as easy for you to sit on my hand. Unless you prefer it the other way . . .”

He hand stayed steady though and waited for her decision. When she spoke her words they were determined and confident, “I don’t like being grabbed at, your right. I like riding in your hand more.”
