Chapter 14

1:32 pm- Tuesday

Y/ns POV:
A year and a half had pasted,Bucky had been in the ice the entire time but it was ok. I could visit his frozen body. Plus the wakandans welcomed me I would tell the children stories of the outside world. Shuri was very close to being able to operate on me but it was a risky operation as the device is hidden far into my brain.

I was stood at the front of rows of children teaching them about the avengers when Tchalla came to me "y/n can we speak for a moment?"
"Of corse" i smiled and waved goodbye

"What's up?" I asked
"Come with me" he said seriously,making me anxious

We walked along a corridor as a smile grew on his face. I felt cold hands on my hips, in panic I dug my elbow into there stomach making them groan and fall in pain. I spun around and kicked them in the head, my mouth dropped.
"God y/n it was only ment to be a nice suprise" Tchalla laughed
I lifted my hands to my mounts "Bucky!" I said falling to the floor to hug him
He squeezed me tight "well that was a nice greeting"
"I'm so sorry,you startled me" I smiled
"It's ok doll" he said

I walked through wakanda with him showing him everything I've discovered "you like it here?" He asked
"They don't judge me like everyone else does. Here I'm not an evil assassin murderer I'm just y/n" I smiled
"That's amazing" he said squeezing my hand
"Yeah it is" we continued to walk

Shuri walked up to us "y/n it's ready"
"So soon? But he's only just come out of the ice" I complained at the bad timing
"If we don't do it in the next few days we will lose the time" she explained
"What are you talking about?" Bucky asked
"We have developed the technology to remove the device that controls y/n" she said proudly
"That's great!" He hugged me
"But it's a very Dangerous procedure and could take weeks" she explained
"That's not so great" Bucky frowned
"Do we have to right now?" I asked
"I can give you both 2 hours" she smiled waking away

I looked at Bucky and hugged him "it's alright doll,you waited for me now I will wait doesn't you" he stroked my hair
"We are always apart" I frowned
"Not for long doll,come show me where we are living" he smiled

I brought him to our hut and passed him his clothes "the people in this area are very kind" I smiled closing the tent to let him have privacy "so when I'm gone try not to be extremely loud"
"What about the nightmares? Have you had many?" He asked
"Almost every night but they don't mind that" i explained as i looked at him
"That's good then" he smiled
"You look like fucking Jesus" I laughed
"Shut up" he smirked "we should go soon"
"don't remind me" I frowned
"It's only a week or two it'll be fine" he smiled taking my hand

He walked me to shuris lab "great your here,y/n lay on your stomach" she ordered
I laid face down on her table "say your goodbyes" she said leaving the room and watching behind a glass window

"Your going to be in control of yourself y/n" he smiled holding my hand
"I'm scared" I told him
He pulled me up into his arms "don't be,I'll always be here." He promised
"I love u" I said squeezing him tightly
"I love you more" he smiled and kissed me "I'll see you soon"

He walked out the room,shuri came in "lay back down" she ordered. I did so "are you ready?"
"Yeah" i said before she put me to sleep.

Buckys POV:
I watched from behind the glass as her head was cut open and operated on,10 minutes go by and it seems to be going fine.

Until it wasn't.

One of the machines that was operating started to spark and malfunction. "What's going on?" I asked watching shuri and other wakandan scientists panic. The machine dug into her head. "What are you doing to her?!" I shouted and hit the glass.
"Remove him" Tchalla ordered as two women took my arms
"Let me go,what's happening the her!" I shouted watching them shut down the machines
"It'll be worse if you interfere" one of the women said
"Get off me!" I ordered struggling

They dragged me out the room and threw me to the floor. I sat on a nearby chair for half an hour waiting anxiously. Tchalla came out the room with two guards "how is she?" I asked
"She's alive" he frowned
"Then why do you look so disappointed?" I asked standing up
"Y/n is in a coma" he stated
"What?" I sat back down and put my hands on my face
"This means we can operate on her for longer though-" he explained before I stopped him
"You did this" I shouted
He sat down next to me "it will be ok"
