I closed the door and stepped into the kitchen.I sat down at the kitchen table and thought for a moment. does guy really like me? is he joking? what about connie? I stood up and took something out of the fridge to eat. after a while i finished eating, i decided to go straight to bed since i have a game early tomorrow and i'm pretty tired.

the next morning i woke up by my alarm clock. I was still tired but I have to get up. so i got up and went to my bathroom, turned on the shower, i waited for the water to get a bit warm and got in the shower. I did my shower routine and then got out of the shower. I wrapped a towel around my body and walked to my wardrobe. I took my clothes and went back to the bathroom. I put on my clothes and brushed my hair. I did the rest of my morning routine and got out of the bathroom. I went downstairs and saw a note on the kitchen table in front of me. i read what it said "good morning y/n, i hope you slept well. i baked you some eggs and some fruit so that you will have a lot of strength during your match!! i wish you good luck. many love mom ;)" I knew my mother had to go to work early. she is hardly ever home. it's almost like she lives at work but i knew it wasn't her fault. she loves her work so much.

I sat at the kitchen table and saw the eggs and fruit my mom was talking about. I started eating it. My mom has always been good at cooking. it's so good. I had finished eating and put my plate in the dishes. I put everything away and looked at my phone. I saw the time and immediately said "oh shit" I walked to my room and took all my hockey gear. I went back downstairs and immediately stepped outside. I locked the door and went to the ice rink. why am i always so late? 

I stepped in and went straight to the locker room. luckily everyone was still there and I wasn't as late as I expected. "hey everyone" I said as I put on my hockey gear "hey" everyone else said. When I was done everyone stepped outside but before I could go I felt someone give me a hug from behind. I turned around confused and saw guy standing there with his arms open for another hug. i gave a smile and hugged him "let's go to the rest" i said "yeah but can i talk to you after the game?" he said as he stepped out with me "yeah sure" I replied

"finally" i heard goldberg say "where have you been so long?" he continued "well-" I wanted to start but was interrupted by coach who called us all together. I skated to coach along with the rest. "take a deep breath, here we go" said coach as we skated on the ice. people started applauding when we got on the ice and that gave the team confidence. we stood with coach waiting for us to play. "heads high, stand tall, fly straight, USA" shouted our coach"ALL THE WAY" the whole team shouted very loudly at the same time. the other team also did their thing. the crowd applauded one more time."are you guys ready?" I asked dean and fulton who were clearly going to have fun tonight "YUHH" I heard them both say as they nodded at each other."we're ready for the opening face off in tonights championship game. team USA against Iceland" averman was going to do the face off this time. I hope we will win this game because otherwise coach will get mad at us again and nobody wants that.

"averman gets knocked down" I think our team is not good with face offs "HEY AVERMAN ARE YOU OKAY" I asked as I secretly skated towards him "YES THANKS Y/N I'M OKAY" he shouted back with a thumb in the sky. the next thing i saw and heard was "and guy germain gets knocked down in the corner" and then i heard "dean portman gets hit hard into the glass by gunner stahle" who's next? hopefully not me tho "goldberg looks like he got tripped" omg im going to be next i feel it "one to nothing for iceland" i expected coach to be disappointed but i was surprised by coach who said "it's okay we "ll get that one back" that's new then i saw someone go to goldberg "hey too slow. big boy" that's so wrong 

"okay that's it" goldberg said he obviously had enough but before going to him jon dwayne and connie stopped him "don't listen to him" i heard them say "LINE CHANGE " shouted coach but I'm not going off this part yet. guy, jesse and russ were allowed on the ice. three others got off the ice. i heard team iceland say things about how they were going to finish russ so I wanted to warn him " russ, i heard team iceland say how they are going to finish you so be careful you can do this and if you need help call me" i said quickly "thank you y/n i'll be safe" he said as i went to my spot.

it had only started a few seconds and russ was already thrown to the drill and they wouldn't let go of him "what are you doing, gett off of me" russ said after that he fell to the ground from a push that those guys gave him but russ stodn right and yelled at me for the puck "over here man!! give me the puck" i shot the puck at him. "watch out boys" "it's knucklepuck time" and then he was about to throw the puck but someone jumped in front of it and took the puck causing it to fall on the ice "ay man i messed up" russ said complaining "nah russ, no worries" I said to give him some support. I then took the puck from someone on the iceland team and it was almost in it but the person in the goal stopped the puck. unfortunately

 "OH Y/N THAT WAS SO CLOSE" connie shouted at me "YEAH I KNOW IT'S SO A SAD IT WAS NOT IN IT" "YES BUT MAYBE NEXT TIME" i shouted back. connie wanted to say something else but coach told her to be quiet and to sit back. we were losing hard and coach? he was losing his temper "banks your turn" i gave my seat to adam. i was on it for a long time and adam hasn't been on it yet "okay coach?" adam asked coach again if it was really allowed "yeah go banks but be careful" adam nodded and then adam already fell to the ground by someone pushing him. and apparently it was on his wrist that he had also hurt by someone on the ice "you'll be okay, banks" guy said. coach was pissed by now
