next thing i feel is guy gently shaking my shoulders while silently whispering my name "y/n? y/n? wake up" i heard louder and louder. i woke up and heard guy say something to me " i just got a text from charlie and he said we have hockey practice in about half an hour and that's why i had to wake you up" he gave me a hug and then looked at me again " oh okay I'll go to my room first to pack my hockey stuff and get ready" I said very quickly as I jumped out of bed. i gave guy a kiss "see you later guy bye" i told him "see you later, my pretty girl" i heard guy say when i stepped out the door. I entered my room and went to the bathroom, I packed all my things and put on my shoes. i was now outside waiting for guy to go down together.

I've been standing there for quite some time now so decided to knock on the door "guy? are you almost done?" i asked him but i got no answer "guy?" I asked again "yes?" he finally answered. luckily he also just came out the door "let's just go" i said to guy as i put my hand in his. we walked down the stairs and then stepped to the ice rink in the school. first we went to the changing rooms, then to the ice rink where the rest was waiting for us. they were watching the varsity team. "they're huge" i heard russ say "they're still so hot tho" replied charlie "come on guys, we could skate out there" connie said to give us some hope. by now the other team has seen us, they saw us watching. they were chatting about us after that because they kept watching. we wanted to step on the ice but rick stopped charlie and said "well if it isn't our captian ducky" lucky fulton pushed him back "get your hands off him" fulton warned rick "oh look a bash brother" said the boy besides rick, his name was cole? I think? "I'm so scared" he continued. someone came to stop the team. as they skated away i heard charlie ask something to dwayne "how about it cowboy? round up?" bad idea, i wanted to say something but connie already did it for me "hey charlie, should'nt we wait for the new coach until we mess around?" she was right

"yes i think we better wait too" i told after connie "this is how we practice, duck hockey, you guys will have to get used to it sooner or later" said charlie "well come on cowboy? hit it" said charlie to dwayne "yee-haw round em up doggies!" dwayne said. I guess I'll join then? everyone was skating "here i come everyone" he saidit was all super fun until someone got on the ice, i should have known, he didn't seem too happy. we heard someone whistle. the new coach. "my name is coach orion, you can call me coach or coach orion." he said seriously "well you can call me charlie" said charlie back "that must be what the c on your jeresy stands for, because it sure is't captian." he said back. everyone was silent "sorry coach, we were just messing with you you know?" russ told coach orion and then goldberg did something he shouldn't have done "hey! bombay gave him that c" to which coach orion replied "and i respect that but that's the past. this is my team now and i'll be selecting the new captan" Charlie didn't like this, you could tell by him. "you have got to be kidding me right? i mean you're the rookie here, we have been together for four years" my teammates were nodding and some said

"yeah" coach orion didn't like this either "okay charlie , laps right now"

"how many coach orion?" asked charlie rudely "i don't recall saying" he replied and then charlie left to do his laps. then coach orion came closer to us and said "now you are going to listen and you are going to listen good" he began "we are here for a reason and only one reason, you know what that is?" he asked averman "it starts with w" he tipped "to win, coach orion, sir" averman tried "no" he replied. from behind russ was laughing out loud "to work" coach continued afterwards "high school hockey is very hard work" he said emphasizing very "and it all begins with defense" he continued "i've seen your tapes , i know you can score goals" he said "i just don't know if you can sop them" coach told us as he looked at goldberg "hey!" goldberg replied "sorry sir" he continued "you're not kids or little ducks anymore, so i'm not gonna treat you that way, you're gonna learn how to play two-play hockey" he shouted "offense en defense , it's gonna take one thing" he looked again at averman "it starts with aw" he gave a tip "to work coach orion sir!" averman said with a lot of confidence "wrong" he got the answer "it's will, it's gonna take real will, if you want to play in my barn" he told us "alright, count off"

"one, two three" i heard him say "alright banks, let's see what you've got" i have to go after adam, i'm quite nervous "yeah oh" goldberg said with pain.Adam had scored "okay y/n show me what you can do" goldberg told me. i gave him a small smile before i scored "yeah okay""goldberg! when is the last time you've practiced?" asked Coach Orion. goldberg was speechless, all that came out of his mouth was "uh" and then he said "we don't really practice per se" well- "we either play or play around, you know? have fun?" this day lasted so long and it's only just morning, I'm curious what else will happen. we got to the changing rooms for us to change "somebody get a shovel and bury me right here" said goldberg and then charlie also started "i will teach you toplay like a what? starts witha w" they did coach behind and suddenly he came inside our dressing room with a sheet but probably our positions on it.

"hey guys look he posted our positions" connie said as she stepped there. I wanted to change first and then I went to look. I heard something with varsity and something with adam so probably adam is in varsity. i stood up and went to the magazine, i searched for my name and shot super hard when i read what it said "I'M ON VARSITY?!?!" I accidentally yelled out loud "y/n you too?" asked connie as she stood up and came to stand next to me "yes look that's right here?" I asked her "yes you are in varsity" she replied

"oh" was the only thing that came out of my mouth.
