the audience started doing the wave. I've always thought that was so cool but it's getting me confused. how can these people do it so perfectly? they all do it right on time but I would always come later than the rest but of course I don't want that. "trying to get team USA back into the game" I also heard them say "and it may be working" he continued. we had been doing well for a while now, by being a team. "GET HIM LUIS" coach said and I think we're all thinking the same thing now, is he going to hit the edge or not? but luis fell causing the other boy to fall too and they both flew into goldberg who was in the goal "amselik, mendoza, goldberg and the puck all in the net. IT'S A GOAL" and iceland is still ahead of us. I still had to wait to go on the ice from coach.
"and iceland leads now three to nothing" i heard "damn we are losing" i said loudly "i can see that" coach said clearly irritated "everyone show me the flying v" he said dry. he was making eye contact with the other coach of the other team all the time. my team made the flying V and was doing well until my team fell. another goal for Iceland. the guys from the other team were again going to push us everywhere but they must have forgotten we still have dean and fulton. they gave us dirty looks again so i turned to watch fulton and dean getting them ready to hit the ice. "PARTYYY" they said together as they pushed someone against the side and someone else, and someone too. ken wu shot the puck to fulton and fulton scored. The whole crowd started going wild and so did my team. in the end we won after a whole life lesson from coach we had to do better and it was worth it. we got to the changing rooms with everyone who was super excited and coach was happy too. how good can this day get?
"hey guys so i have this super cool idea and i want to know what you guys would think" i said while getting the attention of my team "go ahead" jesse said "yeah sure" ken said. "so how about going for a swim with the team this afternoon? who's in?" I asked "OH YEAHHH I'M IN" dean shouted. I laughed a bit with that "same" said the rest of the team. now we were all changing. I had my clothes on and was still on my phone because I was the first to finish changing. i was also waiting for guy, he wanted to talk to me after the game. so here i am waiting.
"hey" I heard someone standing in front of me say "oh hey guy" I said with a laugh "let's go outside and talk okay?" he asked me "sure but is it something bad or?" I asked with stress "no, it depends on how you look at it of course" he said when we just sat outside "oh okay so what do you want to tell me?" I asked "yesterday's kiss""yeah?" i said "what did it mean to you?" he asked as he stared at me "I think I- well uh" I had no words. nothing came out. i looked guy in the eye and saw he start to smirk at me "if this makes you feel better, i liked the kiss" admitted guy "yeah me too" admitted too "so what are we going to do to do?" i asked "we should be boyfriend and girlfriend" guy said with a smile "you think so?" i asked trying to hide my happiness a little bit "yeah i do think so" he said
"y/n do you want to be my girlfriend?" he asked as he took my hand
"yesss" I was so happy but I can't seem too happy otherwise it might seem a bit strange. we both started laughing at the same time "you know? i'm glad we're together now" he suddenly said after we looked into each other's eyes for five minutes "me too" he gave me a smile and came closer and closer. I did the same and our lips touched, again. we heard the team coming so we quickly stopped kissing "what do we tell the team and when?" i asked quickly before the team came to us "uh maybe we can tell them later in the pool? if you're okay with that" he suggested "that's fine with me" i gave him a small smile
the team came to us and I said "do we meet here later? we can all go get our swimming gear first" I stood up and the team did the same. a few minutes later I arrived home, I grabbed my backpack which was already all set. little did they know, I had this in mind from yesterday so I'll be the first one back there. and yes i was there first. I sat on my phone while waiting for the others. suddenly they all arrived in group it was embarrassing because i was alone and they were walking there with everyone so i waited for them to come to me "hey" i said "let's go?" I asked there behind everyone nodded. it wasn't that far to walk but not that close either. guy came and stood next to me and held my hand all the way to the pool "are you looking forward to it?" I asked the guy who was still walking next to me with my hand in his "yes i actually am" he replied "and you? are you up for it?" he continued "yes me too, the slides and stuff" i said "yes" he said laughing.
after another fifteen minutes of walking we finally arrived at the pool "yes we are finally there" i said relieved "yes i got tired of it" goldberg said after me "okay guys i'm going to drop off the tickets stay here" i said as i stepped to the lady for the tickets "hello ma'am here are the tickets for my friends and me" i gave them to her "thank you, have fun" she gave me a smile "thank you ma'am" i gave one back to her. i went to my team "come on let's go in" i said we all stepped into a dressing room alone and changed. we have agreed to meet at the entrance of the pool. I arrived "I'll go to the toilet quickly wait" I said to my team "okay we're going to wait here" I went to the toilet and came back after a while, by then everyone was already there.
"LET'S GO HAVE FUN" we all shouted together
