"No no no no no no!!" Alex looked in the mirror. His cool gray horns with his green rings at the end had appeared, the minty green scales had faded onto his cheek and arms; his dark green tail had also come out of hiding. He looked down and tapped his stomach making sure his twins were okay, he got a movement. He sighed in relief. "Lexi?" John knocked on the door. "Are you okay?" He asked, worried. "Y-Yeah! I-I'm f-fine!" He knocked something over with his tail. "Sh1t!" "Alex I'm coming in!" John opened the door to see Alex standing there in fear. His.. inhuman features were out. "Lexi?" John called, concerned. Alex felt the emotions come up like a knot in his throat. John noticed tears pricking down Alex's eyes. "Hey hey hey.." John approached slowly. Alex looks up at John with the same innocent black eyes. Alex stayed where he was looking down in shame, letting the tears that built up fall and run down his hot cheeks. John cupped his face and wiped his tears with his thumb. "Hey.. Lexi don't cry.. I'm right here baby.." he whispered, taking Alex's other hand. "I-I'm sorry.." Alex whimpered. "For what?" John asked, confused. Alex motioned to his tail, horns and wings. "For being a dragon? Lexi, that doesn't matter. I still love you. You're still the man I fell in love with."

"B-But I'm a freak..! I'm not normal!" "And that's okay! Normal's overrated anyway!" John tilted Alex's head to look up at him. "You're still you. And besides, I think you're pretty..magical." Alex snorted. "That was awful." He said, his laughing cut through his words. John had started to kiss each scale that was visible on Alex's cheeks. "This is payback for kissing your freckles isn't it?" "Yes yes it is!" John says enthusiastically. John hugged him. "I love you Alexander Hamilton." "I love you John Laurens.."
