Aaliyah hadn't spoken to Cassie in days. She didn't have anything to say to the girl and if she did have anything to say, it wouldn't be kind.
Instead, Aaliyah spent her hours comforting Maddy on her phone until she felt better and Maddy was surprisingly taking it well.
She wasn't a hot mess like a lot of girls would be.
She seemed fine.
Aaliyah hadn't talked to Nate either. She was going in circles with the boy and she was tired of it.
Tired of the secrets.
Tired of the lies.
She just wanted a break.
She didn't expect that a break would happen when she bumped into Elliot at school who told her about Rue.
Aaliyah didn't know what it was about Elliot but he wasn't like any other guy she had ever met.
She was great at reading people and she could tell that he was a great person.
When Elliot invited her over his house she felt a feeling of relief. She felt like she would get along with Elliot because he didn't have anything to judge her on.
The two were sitting on his bed when Elliot asked Aaliyah about herself "So, have you spoken to Rue?"
Aaliyah shook her head and sighed "I haven't. I think it's best if she has some space. It might be a little too much for her to talk to someone other than her family."
Elliot nodded and took a hit of his joint. Aaliyah looked at him with a smirk "Can I have a go?"
Elliot turned to the girl and laughed "Have you ever had any sort of drug before?" Aaliyah looked at him with a 'duh' look on her face "Of course I have. I'm a teenager as well, you know.
Rue got me into them." Elliot looked at her and then passed her his joint.
The girl took a hit and then started to cough "Holy shit! It's stronger than I thought." Elliot started laughing and she passed the joint back to him.
The two then spent the rest of their time together in a high as they passed the joint around countless of times.
When the two were at their happiness Aaliyah looked at Elliot with her eyes half closed.
"Can I ask you a question, Elliot?" He nodded and she continued "When I first met you, you were a nervous wreck. Now look at you. What changed?"
Elliot turned his body to face the girl.
"I'm not gonna lie to you, Aaliyah. I've had a crush on you for the longest time and you make me nervous. So, when I first met you I shat my pants."
Aaliyah laughed and put her hand on his leg "That's cute. I didn't think I was your type."
Elliot looked at Aaliyah with a frown "Aaliyah, you are the definition of my type. My type is you because you're my type. Does that make sense?"
Aaliyah giggled "I guess. I'm too high to figure that out right now."
Elliot laughed and cleared his throat "Can I kiss you, Aaliyah?"
The girl turned her head and smiled "Yes, you can." Elliot then leaned forward and kissed Aaliyah softly.
Aaliyah immediately responded and played with his hair. Aaliyah could sense that Elliot was nervous but she liked it that way.
Fezco was the complete opposite.
He was rough and dominant but Aaliyah didn't mind it. She loved him.
Aaliyah pulled away abruptly from Elliot and he frowned with concern "Is everything okay?"
Aaliyah looked down "Um...I shouldn't have done that. Listen, Elliot, you seem sweet but there's someone else."
Elliot chuckled "I thought there might be. The drug dealer right? Rue talks a lot."
Aaliyah shrugged "Well, yeah, but we're kinda over. I can't stop thinking about him though. No matter how hard I try."
Elliot nodded "Maybe you should call him. There's no harm in it. He's probably feeling the same way."
Aaliyah thought for a minute and then sat up "You're right."
She then grabbed her phone and rang Fezco. She waited after three rings and heard his raspy voice "Sup, Lee?"
Aaliyah bit her lip nervously "I'm uh...I was just wondering if I could come over to talk?"
The other side went silent and Aaliyah frowned when she heard him sigh "Uh...I'm a little busy right now, Lee. Maybe another time, okay? I gotta go."
The call ended and Aaliyah was in shock. Elliot looked at the girl confused "What did he say?" Aaliyah looked down "He ended the call."
Aaliyah frowned and scoffed when coming to a realisation.
"I think he was with a girl."
Sorry Lexi...
