The girls were sitting down at lunch and Cassie was talking to the girls about her relationship with McKay.
Maddy frowned at Cassie "So you're basically in a long-distance relationship."
Cassie shook her head "No, we like FaceTime every night." BB smiled "Aw, that's so sweet. You guys are full-on in love."
Cassie rolled her eyes "Oh, my God. Stop! We are not in love. But he did invite me to spend the weekend with him."
Maddy's eyes widened "Like, the whole weekend?"
Cassie nodded "Yeah, like Friday and Saturday night."
Maddy furrowed her eyebrows "Wait, is your mom gonna let you go?"
Cassie shrugged "It doesn't matter. I'll just kill her in her sleep if she doesn't let me."
BB played with her food "Sounds like true love to me." Cassie raised her eyebrows "Whatever. She can't stop me."
Maddy smiled "Honestly, I love your mom, she so kind." Cassie scoffed "Yeah, well try living with her."
The girls laughed and Kat finally looked up from her phone "Do any of you guys know how Bitcoin works?"
The girls shook their head and Maddy leaned forward "But you know who probably does?
That Ashtray kid. I swear he's a 21 year old living in a 10 year old's body."
The girl laughed and Maddy looked at Aaliyah "You know the guy who runs that store, right, Lee?"
Aaliyah nodded and looked down "Yeah, I know him."
Maddy laughed "Why'd you get so nervous for a second. Did something happen with him?"
Aaliyah sighed and leaned closer to the girls "We've just been talking."
All of the girls' eyes widened and Kat frowned "Wait. How old is he?"
Aaliyah sighed "21. I know it seems a little...old but he's a good guy, you know?."
Maddy smirked "Bitch, you like him."
Aaliyah tried to shrug the idea of liking Fez off and she chuckled "No, I don't. We're just friends."
Maddy smirked "Okay, liar. We'll see. Why don't you go with Kat to see Ashtray, then. I'm sure you can have a leak with him."
Aaliyah looked at Kat and shrugged "Fine by me."
She then stood up and grabbed her bag "I gotta head to the bathroom. I'll be back in a second."
As the head day went on, Aaliyah ended up getting a ride with Cassie and when she arrived home, she saw her father in his study and decided to pay him a visit.
She knocked on the half-opened door and he looked up from his computer "Aaliyah, come in."
She walked into the room and closed the door. Aaliyah walked closer to his desk and sat down on the chair in front of him "Have you been in here all day, dad?"
Her father sighed "It feels like it. I've got some letters to write. How was school?"
Aaliyah nodded "It was okay. Did you hear that the carnival is soon?"
Dean closed his computer "Yeah, I did. I'm thinking of paying a visit there with your mother."
Aaliyah frowned "What about Kennedy." Dean looked down "She can come too if she wants. The more the merrier."
Aaliyah looked at her father confused "Is everything okay?"
Dean looked up at Aaliyah and sighed "Kennedy and your mother got into an altercation this morning...but don't worry, they're both fine."
Aaliyah sat up nervously "What happened?"
Dean shrugged "Well, Kennedy decided to have a drink and your mother wasn't happy with that."
Aaliyah scoffed "No shit. I thought you hid all of the alcohol."
Dean huffed "We hid it under the sink. I don't know what made her look under there."
Aaliyah stood up "Where are they now?" Dean opened his computer again "Your mother took her to the park. Apparently she thinks it's her safe place."
Aaliyah nodded and walked out of the office "I'll see you later, dad." Aaliyah went up to her room and remained there for most of the afternoon.
