A few days had passed, and everyone had settled in. Classes hadn't started yet though everyone had gotten schedules. No one was complaining though.

They had been called to the theatre for a whole school meeting. The theatre had a large stage, with many many layers of rowed seats, and large red curtains.

The lights were on at the moment, so that everyone could find where to sit.

Eliott and Lilith had become friends over the short span of time they had spent time together. But, it was common to become friends with the person you'd have to spend the most time with. The two of them found seats together in the theatre, in a place in the middle.

Henry and Aspen didn't care for each other much. Well, lets rephrase that. Aspen didn't like Henry. He still had hope to be friends with Aspen though. Aspen didn't like many people though.

Henry sat towards the front, Aspen sat as far back as she could. Which was pretty far away, it was a huge theatre.

Suddenly the lights went out, and a spotlight shone in a circle on center stage.

The velvet curtains opened to reveal the head of the school standing in the light. The whole room went silent.

"Hello everyone!"" He spoke into a microphone, his voice echoed all throughout the large room, bouncing off the walls. "Welcome to the school! I hope you've enjoyed your stay the few days you've been here!"

The head of the school was fairly young, especially for how old the school looked.

"Let me introduce myself, I'm Julian. I'm the owner of the schools grandson. My father owned the school, but he passed the honor down to me. I am probably a little young for this job, but my dad was a little old for it." He laughed. He was an attractive man, with a sharp jawline, blue eyes, short brunette hair, and good style.

be explaining what's going on at this school. What is there to explain you may ask? Something isn't right with this here chool." Julian smiled, sickly. "My grandpa was a bit...cooky. I guess me and my father are carrying those traits of the family." He cackled. "You'll be fighting to the death. The last one alive will graduate. Maybe, even two. If im feeling generous."

Chaos slowly erupted into a panicked chatter. But they didn't leave, they wanted Julian to continue explaining what was going on.

Julian continued speaking.

"Every week, there will be two people fighting. It will be chosen randomly, theough a blind draw. Whoevers names are pulled, will be fighting against each other. You will have a week to prepare, and choose your weapons from the weaponry." He spoke so calmly, it was scary. He was a monster, just about everyone thought that.

Eliott and Lilith looked at eachother, no words, just panic written on their faces. They had made a mistake coming here. Elliot said he didn't care if the school was messed up, now he wished he had stayed home. He would take his drunken father, and borderline neglectful mother.

Henry had worry on his face. He couldn't kill these people! But, he had to live, for his family. Especially his sisters. He had made a mistake coming here.

Aspen was worried just like everyone, else, but mostly, she was mad. Her parents had made a mistake sernding her here.

"Don't even bother trying to escape, its not worth it." Julian said. "Unless you are the two fighting, things will go as a normal school would. Now, for the people who will be fighting a week from now," He said, as someone rolled a large bingo cage with little strips of paper in it. Those papers held the names of everyone in the school.

Julian closed his eyes and picked two of them out, one at a time. "Sebrina Porter, and Carter Holand! You twO will be fighting! Come up to the stage now! Be proud, this is a huge moment. You will be setting the bar for everyone else!" Sebrina and Carter went pale, and became clammy from sweat.

Two people stood up, both hesitantly. They slowly made their way up to the stage and stood next to Julian, but keeping a safe distance between them. The entire theatre was silent, but it was tense. Very tense. The air was buzzed with everyone else's fear.

"Hello, Sebrina and Carter." Julian looked at them as he said each of their names. "It's nice to meet you! Wave to your audience!" They both gave small, shaky waves. "They'll be watching one of you die!" Juilian said, with a little more enthusiasm than was needed.

"Everyones dismissed to their dorms! Except these two. Goodbye everyone, classes start tomorrow."

Everyone stayed in place for a moment, and then everyone got up, and left quickly. All at once.

"Now, for you two...."
