"Would you like to have a dance with me?" Karishma asked as she placed her hand forward while still trying to catch her breath.
"I would love to," Haseena placed her hand over Karishma's hand.
"How did you like the party?" Karishma asked, placing her hand around Haseena's waist after playing 'Love Story' by 'Andy Williams' over her phone on a loop.
"You didn't let me enjoy that," Haseena said as she placed her hands around Karishma's neck.
"Why?" She asked with a puzzled expression.
"Seriously, Miss Singh! You literally ruined my mood," Haseena said as both of them continue to swirl on a song in a rhythmic motion.
"How's your mood now?" She asked as she continued to adore Haseena.
A smile appeared on Haseena's face. "Much better." She said.
As they continued to dance in Haseena's room away from everyone, they can still hear the loud chatter and noises from downstairs but they didn't care. The company of each other was enough for them.
"Why did you never date anyone?" Karishma asked as she reset Haseena's hair on her shoulder.
Haseena Sighed. "To tell you the long story short, after Arham I never had the stamina to go after people or to build relationships. It's not like I haven't been approached, I have. But I was really not interested. And, then I have Mishu who required all my attention, so I thought it's better to focus on her than anything else. Moreover, I didn't know if the person I'll be dating, will be good for Mishu or not," She said as she tried to keep her pace with Karishma.
"So in all those years, you never find anyone attractive or trustworthy enough to go out with?" Karishma asked as she made her hold strong on Haseena's waist.
"I have but I couldn't prioritize myself over Mishu. She is my life, Miss Singh!" She paused, "I have to think thousand times before taking any step," Haseena replied in a firm voice.
"Then why did you choose me?" She asked as she continued to look into Haseena's eyes. Karishma noticed Haseena's eyes softened up at her question and a wide grin appeared on her face.
"You made me choose you," Haseena replied as she saw her reflection in Karishma's eyes, "You know you are the most irritating, obnoxious, rude, insensitive, and arrogant person that I have met," She paused for a moment and then she placed her hand on Karishma's cheek and started grazing it with her thumb, "But you are also the person who cares, who pays attention, who is empathetic, and more importantly very resilient. So, all your negative qualities were overshadowed by your positive ones. There was a time when you used to get on my nerves and there will be a time when you will get on my nerves but I think we can work it out? Right?" She looked at Karishma with raised eyebrows.
"Yes, we can," Karishma said as she placed her hand around Haseena's neck and leaned forward to peck her lips.
"Tell me things that have bothered you about me since the time we have met," She said while looking at Karishma as she continued to graze her cheek, "because I know I'm not a saint either and I must have gotten on your nerves from time to time."
"This mouth of yours," Karishma uttered as she traced Haseena's lips with her thumb.
Haseena raised her eyebrows at Karishma's statement.
"Okay, Hear me out!" She requested, "When I first met you, I was like what on earth this woman is? You have no restraints and no fear that your 'say' might get you in trouble. I have found that amusing." A smirk appeared on Karishma's face, "You said I'm irritating, obnoxious, rude, insensitive, and arrogant," Haseena noticed the glint in Karishma's eyes, "You are all the same things as me."
