-Love seeketh not itself to please, nor hath for itself any care, but for another gives its ease, and build a heaven in hell's dispair-

(Wiiliam Blake)

"I feel for her sha." Dolapo shrugged pitifully sometime after they were finally done laughing.

"Feel for who?" Seyi snorted disbelievingly.

"Mama Ejima nau." Dolapo repeated impatiently. "No one literally wants to have anything to do with her. It must be hard being so alone and all by herself." She mulled further seeming to be really deep in thought.

"Ha! Nawa o. Which one is to be feeling for Mama Ejima again? Did she complain to you?" Seyi laughed and clapped dramatically.

"I'm just saying." She shrugged. "I mean she has no kids, grand kids and like that wasn't enough, she's living in an entire neighbourhood of haters."

"Dolapo. I don't know where this sudden heart warming is coming from, but if there's something I know, it's that it anybody is to be pitied, it's sure not Mama Ejima. That woman looks like she still has enough energy to go hunting in a forest filled with wild animals." Seyi sipped on her Strawberry Fresh Yo drink. "Mmm! This is nice. Wow; and I thought the plain sweet was the best o!" She raised the bottle and tilted it from side to side.

"But what if not. That's just an assumption." Dolapo cocked her left brow.

"Of course it is! But that's the point; assumption! Because I don't know when Mama Ejima's mental health became my concern or yours either."

"Seeyi." Dolapo smirked, deliberately stressing on the "e" and shook her head. "Anyway, how's your project coming along?" She swiftly changed the subject.

"Ah; me that I've already frustrated my supervisor." Seyi sipped longer on her drink.

"Ah ahn! Why nau?! What did you do?"

"I've been dodging the man. I haven't showed up for any of the appointments. And the man has such high hopes for me; I'm feeling bad small for disappointing him." She narrowed her forefinger and thumb together to emphasize on the "small".

"Wetin Musa no go see for gate o!" Dolapo exclaimed. "You're playing with fire this girl! Shey you don't want to graduate ni! You're feeling bad for supervisor instead of yourself!

"See, this school don already tire me sef jhor! How many years, I'm still in final year; what do I want to see again?" Seyi rolled her eyes nonchalantly.

"Come you better arrange yourself fast fast! Eehn?! Is it only you that has been in school since? You will now be risking final year because of laziness. Wonders shall never end o!"

"Don't worry, I'll be fine. I'm going to meet him this week on Friday. Sha Help me to pray o; make him no throw me out of his office." They both laughed at her sheer sarcasm and Dolapo shook her head.

"It's not me that will pray for you; that one is Charlie's job. The way that girl has been doing nowadays ehn, I don't understand. Charile wey no dey go church before, na she dey quote scripture for somebody up and down."

"Mmm! You too you've noticed abi! " Seyi jerked and pointed responsively at the younger lady, the shock on her face confirming the issue. "I had been noticing it since but I didn't want to raise it so it will not be like "Seyi has started".

"Something's up with her, I know it."

"I think it's because of some lady she met...a Mrs Chidinma woman like that."
Seyi added noncommittally.
