Chapter 2 - A dragon and an Outrider

Y/N's Pov

I sent Heliolisk back into it's pokeball since we were about to leave the beach. We might run into people since Paimon told us civilization isn't that far from us. We left the beach to start the trek to whatever awaits us. 

After walking along the path for a while, the three of us came to a cliff. From there I could make out a lake surrounding a statue. 

"Hey Paimon, whats that statue over there?" I questioned.

"That's one of the Statue of the seven."

"Statue of the seven? Whats that?"

"Teyvat is a world with seven Archons. The Archons are gods of the 7 elements Paimon told you about. We are actually in the land of Barbatos, the Anemo Archon. Statues of the seven's are basically statues to show The Seven's protection over the world. Some adventures even collect whats called 'statues lost oculi' or 'Oculi' for short to offer the statues hoping to please the Archons." 

"Interesting."

"Well then, come on. Lets go look at the statue up close." Lumine said as she started walking down the slope towards the lake.

"Hey, wait for us!" Paimon cried as she darted off towards her direction. 

I giggled as I followed behind both of them, glad to have some company besides my pokemon for once.

When I arrived at the lake, I saw Lumine and Paimon standing there. Well, Paimon was floating but you get the point. 

"You're too slow you know." Paimon said.

"Sorry about that, I was enjoying the scenery. Its far different from my world so I want to keep a mental picture of this place."

"C'mon, lets go cross the lake. The distance isn't that far so you guys should be able to swim across it."

"I'm sorry 'you guys'?" Lumine questioned. 

"Yep! Since Paimon floats, Paimon won't be needing to swim across, see you on the other side."

And with that, the pixie took off to the small island in the middle of the lake. 

"So...you know how to swim?" Lumine questioned me. 

"I don't but I have a friend who can help me." I said as I pulled Greninja's pokeball out of my pocket. I threw it in the air and the ninja pokemon appeared in front of me. I got on it (Idk how but just go with the damn story). 

"Greninja use surf!" I said as he obeyed my command and immediatly jumped into the water. In no time at all, I was on the other side of the lake. My pants were a little wet but other than that I was fine. 

"Wow! Who knew pokemon could also be used as transportation." Paimon commented as it flew around Greninja like an excited child. Greninja however, was very confused about Paimon as he has never seen a flying child. 

"Thanks for your help Greninja, return." I said as he was engulfed by a red light returning back into its pokeball.

"Its your turn now Lumine!" I shouted.

Lumine Pov

I gulped knowing damn well I had horrible swimming skills but my only two friends in this world are waiting for me, I can't let them down! I took a few steps back before running and diving into the water. A few seconds later, I reached the little island.

Not too bad, good job me. I thought as Y/N help me up.

"C'mon lets go, The Statue of the Seven is right in front of us!" Paimon said and flew towards it. Me and Y/N both giggled at the little pixie before walking up to the statue.
