Chapter 9 - Hidden enemies

Y/N Pov

"So...... What're we gonna do now?" I asked my two companions.

"Paimon says we walk around the city and find something to eat!"

"I'd say we go explore the area around Mondstadt." Lumine suggested, "I think it would be a good idea if we familiarise the surrounding area if we happen to get lost." 

"Well Y/N, what do you want to do while we wait for nightfall?" 

"I agree with Lumine's idea. We could talk a walk on the outskirts of the city, and before we go to the tavern, we could stroll around the city to look for something to eat." I suggested. "That way, we can use both of your ideas."

"That's a great idea Y/N. At least one of my companions are smart." Although Lumine whispered the last part, it was still audible enough for Paimon to hear.

"Hey! What do you mean 'one of my companions are smart'? Paimon'll have you know Paimon is plenty smart." The pixie retorted.

"Alright, calm down Paimon. I'm sure Lumine didn't mean it, right Lumine?" I said, side-eyeing the blonde. "Now why don't we stop arguing and start our exploration, we don't have all day you know."

We started off by leaving Mondstadt, passing by the boy feeding pigeons. Of course, he would whine about us scaring the pigeons away, but I assured him I would bring him some grains for the birds next time as an apology.

"Paimon finds that boy really annoying." Paimon complained, "Paimon says we turn his pigeons into Sweet Madame's!" 

"Sweet Madame's?" Lumine questioned. "Considering that's your reation, I'd say it's a type of food." 

"It is," I confirmed. "I saw it on the menu while eating at a restaurant with Jean. If I could recall, Good Hunter was the name."

"Ah I see," Lumine said, "no wonder Paimon suggested that. Though it isn't a bad idea." 

"Yesh, both of you do enjoy bullying children." I snickered.

"What can we say." Paimon shrugged, "He is the most annoying person in Teyvat. People walk on the bridge all the time, and Paimon doesn't see him whining at them!"

"This is the first and last time I would agree with Paimon. He always bashes at us but never at others. Is it because we're outsiders?" Lumine said. "I say we roast his pigeons right infront of his eyes. Lets see what he'll say to us than."

Never knew bullying kids was a topic the two would agree on......

Looking at the map, we decided on going to an area where people rarely explore. We settled on hiking to 'Stormbearar Mountains' as Paimon called. 

"So.....how to we get there?" I questioned Paimon. 

"Ah.... That was the question Paimon was gonna ask you."

"So you're our supposed to be guide, and you don't even know a path to a certain place." Lumine said, "What kind of guide are you?!" 

"H-hey! Cut Paimon some slack, its hard being Teyvat's best guide!" 

"Well, maybe we need a better guide if this one can't find ONE pathway" Lumine sneered.

While the two bickered, I was looking at the map, trying to find a pathway to get to the mountains. 

"Hey guys! Come here real quick." I called. The two immediately stopped their arguement, turning their attetion towards me.
