Chapter 8 - The tavern

Y/N Pov

Two guards entered the tavern we were currently hidding in.

"Ah, Master Diluc. Have you seen two thieves around?" One of them asked the red head standing infront of him. The knight's partner was standing beside him, observing the tavern for anyone suspicious. Hiding on the second floor, we ducked everytime he looked in our direction.

"What happened out there? Why have the knights mobilized so many guards?" The red head named Diluc said. Hearing this, the guard observing the tavern turned to him.

"Haven't you heard, Master Diluc? Two thieves tried to steal the Holy Lyre!" He responded.

"Oh? How odd."

"Isn't it? The Holy Lyre that was played by the Anemo Archon themselves. Such a precious piece of cultural heritage-"

At this point, I lost intrest in their conversation and decided to zone out a little. Remembering what had happened earlier and how I was dragged into this.

Few hours ago.....

"EH?!?!"

"You want to steal the Holy Lyre from him?! And I thought you would side on the good side, Lumine." I silently screamed at her.

"I've made up my mind. But, if I get this lyre for you, you must answer any questions I have regarding Barbatos." She told Venti.

"But I thought you owed me one for the time you scared Dvalin away." Venti playfully said.

"You used up that excuse when you asked me to persuade the nun to give me the Holy Lyre."

"Ahh....... Ugh, fair enough. After you get me the lyre, I'll tell you everything I know of Barbatos."

"You  guys do what you want but leave me out if this alright?" I said.

"Aw c'mon Y/N. Live a little, this is a once in a lifetime opportunity! Have some fun while you still can." Venti persuaded me as he grabbed my shoulders and started shaking me.

"Thats enough Venti. She doesn't want to so don't force her." Lumine said, pulling me into her arms.

"Alright alright, you don't have to join our little scheme Y/N. But you still have some time to change your mind~"

We patiently waited for nightfall, waiting for the perfect time to strike their plan. Since I wanted no take in this, Lumine and Venti allowed me to sit outside of the Cathedral while they planned the heist.

One by one, the nuns and knights left the Cathedral, giving them the chance to break in.

"Alrighty, now that the doors are locked, we need a way to open the door without causing much of a ruckus." Venti explained. 

"And how do we do that?" Lumine asked. She was obviously tired and wanted to get this done with.

"Ehe, I have no idea."

"Ehe!? Thats all you have to say! Why did you not think of a plan before this? Every type of robbery always needs an efficient plan." Paimon screamed as quietly as she could. 

"Ohhh, Paimon is so mad at you. I'm going to give you an ugly nickname....uh.....um.....Tone-Deaf-Bard. That's what Paimon will call you." 

"Oh really? That's the best you can give me, don't make me laugh."
