Chapter 7 - Barsibotas

We arrived at Windrise soon enough. From afar I saw a huge tree with a Statue of the Seven right infront of it. 

We walked closer and saw Venti standing infront of the huge tree. He seemed to be so at peace before we arrived.

"Oh? What are you doing here?" He asked once he felt our presence. 

"Though I was just wondering if you would happen to follow me ;) ."

"I want to learn more about the Anemo Archon." Lumine said.

Whoa, straight to the point Lumine...... I thought

"You speak of the Anemo Archon, Barbatos? He disappeared from Mondstadt a long time ago." Venti replied.

"Liyue and Inazuma's respective gods of Geo and Electro are still present, but its been centuries since Mondstadt last saw their own god." He continued. "But why do you wish to know about him? Does it have something to do with Dvalin?"

"Oh...ahhh....its because gods..."

"Yes, someone told me about Dvalin's past." Lumine cut in, catching Paimon off guard.

"Just how is it that everyone sees Stormterror? I'm quite curious. That said, there's no need to rush." Venti said.

"I've not been back in a while,it seems there are a few who are......unhappy with my arrival."

'I've not been back in a while' 'Few who are unhappy with my arrival'? That seems like a weird thing to say .（ ¬＿¬) 

Suddenly, I felt a strong gust of wind blowing at us. I turned around and saw a glowing green sphere surrounding itself with some cracked dark green shards.

Long story short, Lumine quickly defeated the monster and saved our butts. We got hit by some small pebbles from one of its attacks, but other than that we were fine.

"Seems like Dvalin wasn't the only one affected by this change of the wind..." Venti gleefully said.

"Now then, you were saying someone had told you about the dragon?"

"Yep." I said, following whatever Lumine was doing while she just nodded in response.

We filled Venti in with everything Lisa told us about Stormter- I mean, Dvalin. Venti seemed pretty impressed with our information.

"Is that so? Quite the scholar I must say, that Lisa. She isn't wrong. The conflict has reached this point only because both sides have resorted to the use of force." Venti began. "His hate however, did no arise from the people of Mondstadt not making tribute to The Four Winds. Nor was it born from his own nature, but instead came about as a product of his degradation."

"Degra...dation?" Paimon asked.

"Degradation means the condition or process of degrading or being degraded. Or to put it in simpler terms, its basically an act of lowering someone or something to a less respected state." I explained to Paimon.

"Oh, Paimon understands now. So basically, Stormterror has become like this because something bad happened to him, and now he's taking it out on Mondstadt?"

"I suppose you could say that." Venti responded.

"The black blood flowing through his heart has been torturing him for years. That's what has allowed him to be led astray by the lies of the Abyss Mage."

"Abyss Mage? I've never heard of such a name." I said.

"They are from the Abyss Order, an organization comprised of non-human beings. They despise mankind." Venti began.
