"I don't know, she's been sleeping past an hour now. Maybe she's in shock. " A woman whispered.

"Well she looks quite funny, I mean who wear dresses like that. Is she from another country or something. She doesn't look familiar. " The other spoke.

"I don't know, maybe we just have to wait till she wakes up." The former replied.

JiAh opened her eyes making the two women sitting beside her flinch. As her eyes slowly accomodated to the environment she could make out the place she was in. It was a huge room even bigger than her entire apartment, decorated with crimson curtains and linens. The wall murals were beautiful colours of blue and gold. She was lying on a king size bed with carved wooden headboard embellished with silk sheets and blanket. The floor was marble and the ceiling displayed certain patterns and calligraphies which she was unable to understand.

She looked at the ladies who were gawking in her direction looking equally alarmed by her presence as she was by theirs. They were beautiful and wore the po coat, chima skirt, baji pants and the jeogori jacket, the basic structure of hanbok.

"Where am I? And who the hell are you guys? " She broke the silence.

"I'm Kim Hye Sun and she is Kim Soo Yeon. We are the court ladies of the palace. Your Majesty ordered us to look after you and present you to him when you finally wake up. So we request you to please come with us to the main hall of the palace. " The one who looked superior spoke with a stern voice.

"Uhm.... Ok! None of which you said really made much sense to me but.... Come again?! " JiAh was puzzled by this sudden slang difference which resembled much more of the Joseon dynasty.

"Well I don't consider ourselves prerogative enough to answer all your questions. Please come with us, we don't want to keep Your Majesty waiting. " The younger one spoke.

JiAh did as she was instructed and followed them to the main hall. The building indeed looked like a palace but she really don't remember any province that still followed the monarchy culture.

Who the fuck are these people. All of them are dressed as if its time for the Seollal. But January's still far. Are they trying to fool me or something. Of course! See a dupe historian, lets string along and make a fool out of her. But hello sunshine! I'm not the one who's gonna fell for it.

As she crossed the threshold of the main hall gate she encountered the same patterns of blue and gold with the crimson curtains just like the one she came across in that room earlier. To her surprise the place looked familiar. That was the same place she was entrapped before passing out. She could feel her feet getting cold as she gulped, watching her body driven away in anxiety.

"I hope you're feeling alright now. " A man spoke. She took a step forward to ascertain his features. She took a quick glance before making speculations about the type of person he could be.

"I'm feeling good, thank you so much. " She spoke with a smile to the man having sharp features, a heart shaped smile and warm expression. He didn't looked vicious, on the contrary he had an ambience which was heartwarming. He appeared like sunshine to her, warm and soothing. All her anxiety became a history after meeting this person.

"So, you must be confused about how all of a sudden you ended up here in this world. " He said.

"World? " She said, a little puzzled.

"Well you see, the door you entered was not the owner of some ordinary golden light. It was a portal that connected two dimensions, or two worlds to be precise.
You've reached this palace a thousand years prior to the time you belong to." The man explained.
