Hi! Today I will be sharing ten short writing prompts to get your words flowing.

This is similar to the post I made about how to get out of a writing block, but these can be used as a kind of warm-up. Before I go to write a chapter, I always "warm-up" with a random prompt I find. Here are some of my favorites.

1. They said it was impossible, show them how wrong they were.

2. "I thought I could trust you!" Use this line in your story.

3. Hiraeth, the homesickness for a home you never had, or can never return to. Use this as the main theme of your story.

4. Cold. Use this word in the title of your story.

5. Right person, wrong heart.

6. Write about learning something new

7. Nightmare

8. If you could turn back time just once, to try and fix something, would you do it?

9. Sneakers

10. Freedom is never appreciated until it is lost.

All of these prompts are very open-ended. Let your imagination run wild! Maybe even write out of your comfort zone, writing in a different genre even.

Don't think too much about it, let the words flow.

Happy writing!
