Chapter 1

Hello, my name is Edna May Ratliff, and I am the daughter of Adam Lambert and Tommy Joe Ratliff Lambert. I am really the daughter of Tommy with his ex-girlfriend, but my mother was a bitch and Tommy took custody of me after he married my stepdad, Adam Lambert. Even though Adam was only my stepdad I still loved him like a father.

You see my mother didn't like that Tommy turned gay when he started working with Adam. She kept yelling at him and hitting him while Tommy was unemployed for ages and when he met Adam and he started working with him as a guitarist they slowly started falling in love and all those kisses on stage just strengthened that. I didn't really care as I was just glad that Tommy had found love again after my mother. She was an abusive bitch to him, and he found the strength to get out after he fell in love with Adam. We found out that she was also a drug dealer before he got custody, but he had to fight for it.

After about 2 years of dating Adam asked Tommy to marry him and they moved into our current house with my uncles Tim Campbell and Anthony Callea. Adam became very good friends with both of them when he was in Australia that they all decided to move into this abandoned mansion that was secluded on the end of a cul-de-sac. They naturally did repairs. The house is beautiful and has a pool out the back that backs onto a bush area.

I'm currently sitting at home with dad and Addy as Tim and Anthony (Ant) are away at the moment and Adam is getting ready to go on X Factor. That starts tomorrow and he is trying to talk dad into going with him and taking me as well. So far dad is having nothing to do with it, but I think he is slowly coming around. I want to go as one of the judges that are on with Adam is gorgeous. I am secretly a contestant, but dad doesn't know yet as he hates for me being in the limelight as he has so much trouble and he wants to keep me safe. I saw him the other day and we got on like a house on fire. He gave me his number but so far, I haven't rung or texted him. I can't pluck up the courage too.

I'm taken out of my thoughts by Adam yelling and I look over at him. He is so happy, and he jumps up and says, "your dad agreed baby girl". I smile at that. He has always called me baby girl ever since we met which wasn't long after dad started working with him. He comes over and hugs me and I can't help but hug him back. We share this look that says, "will we tell him"? Adam thinks for a bit then turns to dad and says, "hey my sexy glitter baby what would you say if our baby girl was a contestant on the show"? Dad looks at Adam and says "no way baby boy, I want to try and keep her away from the limelight you know that. I told you that before we got married babe". I groan at that and he looks at me and he says, "I'm sorry baby girl but I can't have the same thing happen to you that happened to me". I look at him and say, "dad I'm 17 I'm old enough to look after myself". He looks at me and said "yeah I said that to my mother when I met your mother and look what happened. No offence baby girl you were the only good thing that came out of that".

You see dad was only 17 when he met my mother, and he was 18 when they had me. Adam looks at dad and says "glitter baby I will be there for her every step of the way. I will not let anything happen to our baby girl. If she gets through and I'm not her coach, then all the other coaches will watch her. Anthony is another judge, and you know that he will never let anything happen to her. Him and Tim love her like she is their own". We hear a voice say, "that's right we do, and I will not let anything happen to her". I turn and see Tim and Anthony standing there. I leap up and run to hug them. They went away for a few days to get some time alone together. I know what they really went for. I hear them all the time between them and dad and Adam you need ear plugs.

As the day wears on dad ended up coming around especially when he found out that Tim was the host. No one knew that not even me. So, I will be on x factor as of tomorrow, but I have agreed that if I don't make it then I will come back home with dad. Dad said that he would stay as long as I was a contestant then he would come home.

The producers will not let dad stay in the same house as Adam and Tim can't stay in the same one as Anthony. I think that is really unfair and I am going by Ratliff not Ratliff Lambert. Dad goes by Lambert now and the producers don't know he was Ratliff before they got married otherwise, I wouldn't be allowed on the show. I just hope no one finds out that I am the daughter of Tommy Joe Lambert and Adam Lambert. If they do then I know they will say that its very unfair. It's not like Adam coached me or anything. Adam didn't even know I could sing until I was singing one day when I thought he wasn't home, and he didn't even know that I auditioned for x factor until he saw the letter come in the mail.

He accidently opened it because it was addressed to Miss E Ratliff and he couldn't see the idiot was outside without his sunglasses plus he had had a few drinks beforehand. Him and dad had a fight the day before and dad walked out with the shits and he wanted me to go but I didn't want to, so he went to a hotel nearby. Adam went crawling back as he loves dad so much that he can't live without him. I know dad feels the same way, but he couldn't go back he wanted to make a point to Adam. I don't know what they were fighting about all I heard was dad yell that he was leaving, and he called for me to go sit in his car. I told him no I wasn't going. I know my dad and I knew he wouldn't be gone long, and I knew that Adam would go back to him. That's how much they love each other.

We all have an early night as we have an early start the next morning. We have to drive to Sydney as we live out of Sydney about 1 hour away.
