Chapter 4

Edna's POV

When Anthony Tim and I got back to the house Tim pulls Ant into his arms and he says "I will see you tomorrow babe and remember that I love you. Please look after yourselves you 2. And Ant please look after Eddie.

I groan at my nickname that only Ant and Tim call me and walk upstairs to my room.

After a restless sleep worried about dad I finally am able to get up as I really need to see Adam before I have to perform. I quickly get dressed and run downstairs to see Ant and say, "Ant I'm going to see Adam and I will meet you at the studio". Ant quickly nods his head and I run out the door and next door to Adam's. I run in the door and yell out to Adam. He comes downstairs and he says, "baby girl what's wrong"? I run up to him and leap into his arms and I just burst into tears. He lets me cry then he pulls me away from him and he says, "baby girl why are you crying"? I say to him "I had a bad dream. I dreamt that dad had died, and you didn't want me anymore either, so you gave me back to mum". I burst into tears again and he pulls me back into his chest. He comforts me until I stop crying and he says "baby girl I will never give you up if your father died. I love you way too much to lose you as well". I just can't bear to be away from Adam, so I wait with him until he goes to the studio.

When we got to the studio I was about to walk away from Adam when a producer came up to us and said, "Mr. Lambert I was wondering if I can speak to you and Miss Ratliff for a minute please". Adam nods his head, and he says, "so I have heard from a very irate parent this morning that you threw their son off the show because he said something you didn't like about your husband"? Adam looks at him and he says, "that's a lie he told his mate that he will get with me because I was sexy and that he didn't care if I was married as he always got what he wanted". That put my husband in hospital and also your security guard who wouldn't let my husband see me and was told that if he were seen around here again then he would call the police. So, don't start on me". The producer looks at me and says, "I also heard that you are Adam's stepdaughter and that you are very good friends with Anthony Callea and his husband". I nod my head and say "yeah so what if I am. I am not related to Adam or Anthony or his husband in anyway, so it has nothing to do with you who my friends are". He says, "well you are Adam's stepdaughter so I really can't let you continue with the show". Adam looks at him and said "ok she goes, and I go as well. As she just said she is not related to me her father married me not her". He thinks for a bit and he says, "fine but if I hear anymore then you will be gone". Adam turns to him and said "by the way this rule that our partners cannot live with us is totally ludicrous. How would you feel if you were told that you couldn't sleep with your wife for about 3 months"? He thinks for a bit and he says, "I wouldn't like it and I also wouldn't like it if I couldn't see my kids". Adam looks and says, "so how do you think we feel".

Andy came into view at that moment and he says, "hey Eddie are you ok"? I nod my head and he says, "good I was worried about you after you collapsed when we saw your father". He turns to the producer and he says "I couldn't help but overhear what you were talking about and I agree with Adam. Adam and Edna were so worried about Tommy last night that they chased around the city trying to find him then spent the remainder at his bedside in the hospital". The producer seems to think, and he says "ok I will tell you what. Your partners can stay with you, but I don't want to be told that you were caught doing any funny business". Adam rolls his eyes and walks away with Andy and me by his side. I laugh as I walk away and say, "yeah papa you heard him no funny business". I wink at Adam when I say that and he says, "Ok smart arse".

I kiss Adam on the cheek as I need to go and rehearse for my performance tonight and say, "see you later papa love you". Adam looks at me and says, "love you baby girl and good luck tonight".
