Hope's POV:

Aunt Rebekah and I grab our luggage from the belt before heading towards the car she rented beforehand. "Are you sure I can't just stay in New Orleans and help? I'm not a little kid anymore," I tell her as I put my bags in the trunk.

She put her bag in and closed the trunk with a sigh. "We know you aren't, little one. But we need you safe and away from Aurora now that she's got ahold of the red oak tree. Nobody knew about my friends until now so you will be safe an-," I cut her off with a sarcastic smile.

"And hidden like a coward. I don't like running away from fights," I say as we get in the car. Aunt Rebekah chuckles softly and turns on the car while glancing at me.

"You're like your father, little one. He never liked to run from his enemies either. Also don't think of it as running, think of it as disappearing like your father did. Plus Kate agreed to train you. She was a female warrior back in her day," she softly explains getting a brief smile from me as she mentions that I'm like my dad.

"It's only for a little while right?" I ask fidgeting with my hands in my lap. A soft hand goes on top of mine and I look up catching my aunt's gentle gaze.

"Yes, little one. Only for a little while. Just until the rest of the family and I find the red oak stakes Aurora made and destroy them. You and your friends destroyed the tree at school, yes?" She says then asks squeezing my hand gently before driving.

I nod even though she can't see me. "Yes we did. The twins and I didn't leave until it was nothing but ashes and even then we took extra precautions with it," I explain making her nod in approval.

"Good. That's one thing we don't have to worry about. And how are the twins?" Aunt Rebekah asks giving me a smile before looking back to the icy road.

I chuckle thinking of my best friends who are crazy but loving. "They're doing great. Lizzie is finally with Ethan and Josie is single since Finch tried getting with Maya. Good thing that Maya told Josie about it or else there would be one less werewolf on campus," I tell her smirking as she nods with a chuckle.

I look out the window seeing everything so white. God it's so beautiful and peaceful. Maybe it won't be so bad to live here for a couple of weeks or months.

"Uh, we signed you up for college classes here at University of Alaska Fairbanks. Same as your usual ones. Art, Bachelors of Arts, Bachelors of fine art, and your Bachelors degree. Are you sure you want to take all those classes, little one?" She gently asks stopping at a red light.

I nod, "yes ma'am. I love art and I want to better myself in the subject. Plus if I sell some of my art, I'll get some pretty decent amount of cash." I don't like depending on my family's money for things which always baffles my family.

"I think your art is magnificent already but if this is something you want to do for yourself then our family and I are in full support of you following your dreams. Also you don't need to worry about cash, you will always have full access to it since it's yours. Please don't feel like you're doing something wrong when you use the money because you are not. That money is yours and yours only," Aunt Rebekah gently declares making me smile shyly at the compliment.

"Thank you, Aunt Rebekah. I just don't want to be seen like one of those stereotypes bratty rich girls," I tell her making her scoff and shake her head.

"Now that, you will never be. Cause you, Hope Andrea Mikaelson are one of the most selflessness being I have ever met," She says giving me a loving smile making me blush.

Aunt Rebekah chuckles and turns on the radio. I look out the window and at the snow covered trees, listening to music. I listen to music for the rest of the ride to the Denali's home.
